That was surprisingly not bad!!! Didnt have the nice crack that I like in a snare, but hey, for $30 you really cant complain. You should do more stuff like this, hell, just build a super cheap kit and see if you can find some hidden gems :) Sex.

Edit: lol I’ll never forget when I put a hybrid head on my 14x6.5 Mapex maple and going from a coated reverse dot to the hybrid was like night and day. That crack/pop is amazing!

Dude for $30 snare and a $50 head, man that shit sounded so goood. It had a nice low end thunk, but a very dark, clear middle, and the high end wasn't too muddy. Like, honestly, this would totally be great for studio use, especially if the drummer DOESN'T know how to tune their snare. Which as we all know, is going to be the death of every last drummer alive 🤦♂️ Edit: I am a drummer, and I play fast, and with a 10"×6" firecracker snare 🤣🤘 and it took me AGES to get it to sound 👌
