$30 to get HOLLYWOOD QUALITY

Yes that $30 dollar purchase was some simple ND filters off amazon. took my nazgul out today to a new spot and tested out the footage with some basic ND filters and the difference was insane! Thank you so much for watching, hope you enjoy!

For people wondering on ND filter, motion blur and stab here is what you need to know : -You need ND filter to basically put sunglasses on your Gopro, to keep the motion blur. -The natural motion blur you will have is when your shutter speed is the double of your framerate (30 FPS 1/60 shutter). Wich is why in some cases it's too bright so to keep your settings you just add an ND filter. -The problem when you stabilise footage is the next : fly smooth no problem. fly a bit more agressive and the stabilisation will make your footage looks like crap especially because of the motion blur that will not be removed by the stabilisation. You will end up with static object like a chair well stabilized but with some blurring edges happening randomly. Solution : whathever you use for stabilisation software, please consider using a higher shutter than the double of ur framerate if you plan on doing agressive movements. You will have less motion blur in general but the elements of the shot will stay sharp and in focus. To have the very blurry look you can fly very smooth with ND so no/close to no stab in post needed. Or you can add in post with RE suite but it's way more tricky and not 100% reliable

That footage looks really nice and I love the glow the ND filter helps to bring out in the light. I just wanted to say that it looks like you might have just a little bit of play in your mount or you need to work on your filters some. It could also be Hyper smooth trying to work in low light which can cause issues. Try turning off hyper smooth and see if you notice the picture getting sharper. If it's already off. Then it has to be a vibration in your build or the mount. Looks awesome, I am a new subscriber, and thank you for sharing your journey with those of us who dont have in person people to share our FPV trip with.

Yes, nd filters are really nice but i also like to smooth out my footage with gyroflow (i don't use gopro stabilization) and this seems to mess up the motion blur created by the nd-filters. I'm thinking of flying without nd filters so i can use gyroflow without problems because most people (who are not into videography) don't even see the difference of the nd filters. I'm really struggeling at this moment to choose between correct motion blur or buttersmooth stabilisation 😅

I would personally suggest using Reel Steady and ND filters, I just haven't purchased reel steady yet

@@threefpv Reelsteady doesn't mess with motion blur? I was thinking it's the same as gyroflow but less flexibility. I'll do some testing as soon as the weather here gets a little better. 👍

@@threefpv yeah, i'm really going to take some time to test this because they don't always tell everything 😅 Recording at 60fps and rendering at 30 fps also messes with the "correct" motion blur so for working with slowmo and time ramps nd filters are also not ideal i believe. It's really confusing me atm. Would love to be able to ditch the gopro someday and to buy a descent camera to fly it with a cinelifter 😅 P.s. if you want to test out reelsteady you don't have to buy it yet. There is a demo version you can use. It has full functionality but with a copyright logo.

Idk about Hollywood quality 😂. But definitely need ND filters and the newest GoPro 😊. Get full lens replacement ND filters, those look like they go over the original lens. Polarpro or camerabutter. And make sure your camera settings are locked and not auto.

You gotta get a new goggle strap, I think the iflight is the one that holds the battey on it. Loses the top strap making it easier to rest on your forehead when not in use, or drop down around your neck. That's the real 20$ game changer. Thank me later :p

@@threefpv oh no, i don't talk about the way you fly, it's just an issue about the framerate which is jerky. Maybe because of a wrong choice of framerate in the timeline of your editing software.

I think the stuttering would be greatly reduced by just replacing the gopro mount with a full TPU mount rather than the standard gopro bolt mount
