30 Ton Log Splitter part 5 Hydraulics

I install some homemade hydraulic hoses made with a homemade hydraulic hose crimper on the homemade log splitter.

The exhaust blowing up against the ram will heat the oil up even faster should have changed the motor around if possible or built a deflector

Thanks. That's a whole nother vid bro. People around here want almost what they paid for theirs 10 years ago! I looked at a '96 Brave 24 ton for $600 with rotted hoses, rotted trailer tires, leaking cylinder, missing trailer hitch and etc. I thought, for a few dollars more I could build a new one!

teflon tape and pipe joint compound on all the threads will keep it from leaking. The way you have it all connections will leak..

Can you explain the crimping or show a video? I just see a machine crimped hose and can't imagine how it was done on the press.

Now you can perhaps hook up the hydraulics to a quote unquote really hydraulic press??? lol work with the oil and not pump and pump by hand..

I'm not really sure what you are getting at here but, I was able to crimp my hoses to spec by hand actuating a hydraulic bottle jack.
