Ive seen packs of wild boar on Catalina Island, both when I camped there as a Scout, worked there on Staff, and later camping with friends and girl friends. We used to chase them, and, as they were a nuisance in knocking over the metal trash barrels, we’d set up ambuscades with flash bulbs to f w them. Good eatin’, them. The buffalo, too. But u don’ wanna meet a rutting male alone on a trail on your way to a beach party if ur wasted, n’ wearing flip flops. There’s CACTUS there, for the love of GOD! Does that help? I’m more concerned with all the wild bores I meet, incessantly- call 9-11!!!!

Best timing ever! I spent the hours from 5:00 AM to 6:30 PM cutting up two raw turkeys To make various dishes and I’m pretty sure my arm will fall off soon. I remember going to Big Bend park about 25 years ago. I was eager to take a picture at a beauty spot called 'The Window'. A small trickle of a stream that went between two vertical cliff faces. I wanted to get close to the edge where the water went over. I nearly slid off as the rocks were slimy and slippery. It would have been a plunge straight down a couple hundred feet to the rocks and boulders below. Eeek.
