In Turkey C is actually pronounced as J. I figured it out as I watch a lot of Turkish drama & films. So the movie CICI is pronounced as JIJI in their language & the name Cemil is pronounced with a J as in Jemil. Hope it clear things up for you. I really love watching your movie recaps even if I've watched the movie I still watch the recaps from your channel. So for future I thought I should let you know in case you wanna recap more Turkish films ❣️

Yeh J is correct, but I think C is more similar to G to be honest, because in Turkish we usualy pronounce C hard, and J seems too soft to me, so Cemil could be Gemil.

@@yavuz9038 actually according to IPA (international phonetic language) the correct way to represent this phoneme in english would be "dj" as in "Django", the d is there to harden the j sound only, just as to represent the "hard" H sound it should be written "kh" (even though seems most native english speakers seem to ignore this about their own language, seeing they pronounce khabib as if it was kabib, or Makhachev as makachev, i kinda understand since these sounds don't exist in their language, but if you see a letter combination at least try guess why they transcribed it that way, and they do according to english phonetics rules regarding foreign phonenes, in kh the k is silent, just to harden the h, as the d in django is silent... Still i think habib, habibi and habiba are very famous arabic words in all the world they should see where it comes from, but well... American's never cease to amaze us with their ignorance about the rest of the world). Internationally, letter "g" represents the glotal sound as in "go" or "get". Sorry to write so much, I'm a linguist 😅
