The man made us workout every single day since we were not allowed to leave the facility or even take a run because we had to stay in combat gear. The man did, everyday, 2x10 series of 20 pull-ups, lifting his body like he was trying to send himself into orbit. Solid Russian guy. And so gentle too. Taught me a lot about the mindset in just a few days. Some people are impressive.

I did like 28 reps back in high school at a marine booth. No one beat it. The recruiter even said that my chin went way over the bar than expected.

If you're gonna pump out 30 reps, you have to do them quickly. It's been found that, no matter how strong you are, it is almost impossible to hang on a bar for 100 seconds. That's because the blood struggles to get to your arms in that position. So, keeping your wrist contracted enough to keep the position for so long becomes physically impossible

Interesting. Although the record holders for pull-ups can hang forever it seems.

or you could use straps if you go for such high numbers.

The hang one seconds challenge bar carnival game you're probably using as a source rotates. The 10p seconds thing is not true. Most ppl can't grip that long because they don't train grip endurance. Simple.

Everyone amazed at the clean reps he’s doing, this is how all of the Marine Corps does pull-ups. Mount the bar, come to a dead hang, and your chin has to clear the bar from the perspective of an observer on the other side of the bar/or side of the bar. Return to a dead hang and 1 rep is officially counted at that point. 😎

When age 56, did 42 correct form pullups. Now 71, 25. Hard to believe the low numbers for these young guys. Lifelong physical fitness is vital for health and invigoration.

That’s a real pull up. Not a lot of people can do that many, with proper form. Strength right there.

Mad props, real pull-ups. And he goes allll the way down. If people are wondering why he can do so many clean ones, it's because when you do reps right, you get stronger faster.
