Fishing in France is tough. The lakes are hard fished, and anglers tend to overbait. Especially if their struggling, when they then usually fill it in towards the end of the week. Consequently, there is often piles of unbeaten bait all over the lake, as you arrive. For me, you just have to keep doing the right things on a lake like this. The owner tells you the spots, the bait, the rig, and you just duly abide.
@dancolloby816324 күн бұрын
Exactly as you say, all the anglers are fishing the same spots with the same bait. Think outside the box and with four rods you have a chance to do something different and sit on it.

Well done on your PB,s whilst the numbers of fish caught were low they were quality can't always catch everyday but that's French fishing wouldn't let one week put you off the fishery!

@colnevalleycarping cheers buddy, yeah I was still happy to come away with a new pb, yeah the numbers wasn't there but it was still a good trip and I enjoyed myself and that's what matters!

Great effort with the pb. Not every week fishes well, but always the chance of a lump in france. What sort of drone do u have ? Lost mine in a french lake in October lol

@waynesfishingadventures cheers buddy. Yeah thank god for that 1 fish!! Aww must of forgot!! 😂😂

Whilst you've both had a decent fish, thats one lake I'd avoid. A French holiday needs to produce a number of fish to warrent the investment. We all know you can't guarantee bites, but less than 6 bites between 2 in a week is dire.
@MrCarpking7129 күн бұрын
@chrisisaacs7273 did you see part 1?? If not then go back and watch it! I explain in part 1 why lake shut down on us. The week b4 and the week after us the anglers had different conditions and both sets had good catches. If only we had time machines eh so we could pick the weeks it fishes well!! If I said I'd avoid every lake I had a slow session on then there's many many lakes I'd have to avoid.

Yeah, imagine catching a 46lber and new pb. What a waste of a week 🤷🏻♂️
@davidchurchward294328 күн бұрын
Nobody is wrong here .. just nowadays lots French waters are producing weeks where lads have a good few 20kg fish in a wk .. I think what Chris is saying is he’d pick somewhere else if going all the way to France .. @ home catching a 30 is very achievable so I tend to be very fussy where my French trips are & the last 3 yrs that has resulted in fish I’d not be able to catch @ home .. there are so many French venues that are nice that have a v high average weight , you just need to do the research & normally drive a bit further south .. great video as always carp king & we would all love to see you fish abroad again 👏
@chrisisaacs727327 күн бұрын
@@waynenippard5933 catching a pb is great. my point, and only my opinion, is if i go to france i want to go to a lake where more action is expected. i appreciate any lake can shut down but personally id choose a lake with higher stock so the odds are stacked in your favour. Everyone is different and i'm not knocking Chris @carpking71 at all
