The paper pot is used to soak up all the froth from cooking the raw meat. It helps keep the broth nice and clear while you eat !

Thank you for mentioning this. I was in Japan in January and had a number of sukiyakis in a paper pot. I never noticed the lack of froth since I was always used to it, but now that you mentioned it, I cannot, not notice it :)

Although I did not shell out for Kobe haha, Tsuki menu I think is best value wise honestly the meat taste amazing with that course it is hard to imagine much better. There was also unlimited crab and lobster. Compared to US prices an amazing deal.

When I went to Rokkasen I ordered the normal wagyu AYCE tier 2 I think, and a platter of A5 Matsusaka meat. Works out much cheaper and the meat in both was amazing. IMO Matsusaka is better than Kobe beef too.

I think it's more of a personal preference, most people probably would not consume raw eggs though but it's really common in a lot of japanese cuisine. It's super creamy if you like that but the texture grosses me out personally lol, I recommend it in ramen though but it tends to actually cook a bit in the super hot broth

My first time to japan, I went to this place at the shinjuku shop, didn't make reservations as it requires two pax, ( most reservations in japan at least 2 pax ) anyway, I just walked in as 1 pax and they let me in. I ordered the matsuzaka beef, in my opinion it's better than kobe.

I only ask because where I live in the US you could go get their top tier bbq like this with lesser meats including high grade Australian wagyu and it's about 300-320ish but everyone can eat off it.
