I like how on on December 11, 1917 British General Edmund Allenby got out of his car and WALKED into Jerusalem. He did not feel worthy to ride because his LORD had come through the same place riding a humble donkey nearly 1,900 years before him.

you should do a faith and beliefs video on the jaredites and their ethnicity. i’ve heard they were supposedly from asia. i think would be very interesting!

More than 3000 years into a bite of ~9 minutes. For more details I'd also recommend the book Jerusalem: The Biography by Simon Sebag Montefiore.

I’d say there is likely a pretty important omission in the first Jerusalem fact listed. What do you think historians would hypothesize the phrase “took Jerusalem from the Jebusites” to mean?

Wow there is so much more history about Jerusalem than I thought🤯🤣. The only thing I could remember about Jerusalem is when Lehi was told to leave Jerusalem with his family because it would be destroyed, and later when Jesus lived in Jerusalem and his apostles.

Don't forget the blessing of Orson Hyde to the land in 1841. Then 105 years later, the Jews began to return to Israel en mas, and the state of Israel was created. Now Hebrew is its official language.

Mostly well done. The picture of the guy ready to murder his son because he thinks God told him to is incredibly disturbing - and I do mean incredibly. But other than that, this was an awesome video for lightning quick history.

@@wes2176 Let's pretend for a second you hadn't been desensitized to that picture. Then one day you happen across a painting of a father with a knife raised, ready to kill his own son, ritualistically, in the name of his God. The son is bound on an alter - defenseless not only physically, but apparently isn't even struggling for his life - dominated to the extreme physically and emotionally. If this wouldn't strike you as horrific and terribly disturbing, I really don't know what else to say. Adult/adult extreme violence is bad enough, but a CHILD is the victim here.
@leem32992 жыл бұрын
@@wes2176 Yeah, kinda like Abraham thought God was telling him to chose to abortion his son at about 700 weeks. Did I say disturbing? Is that the kind of pro choice you're taking about?

Though split (spoiler alert), most Canaanites (calling them palestinians is like calling black democrats slaves, despite both being harshly accurate) agree that Israel is more free and prosperous than what their Baal worshiping leaders have supposedly promised if they, for blatant terms, committed another holocaust and mass murder saying it's for Allah... but it's actually for the leaders' blood gods
