I really really like the bondstrike. It expands a lot and transfers energy for hydrostatic shock unlike a lot of bonded bullets that will just blow through a deer. It also has high enough weight retention to drive deep into elk sized animals. Not to mention it’s accurate in a high bc bullet. I’m impressed

Nice shooting brother! The .300 WSM knocks the socks off deer! Had a Browning BLR in that for a few years. Got tired of the cantaloupe sized exit wounds even on our big Canadian whitetails up here that are sometimes over 300lbs on the hoof. Now it's a .308 in the woods and if I'm sitting field side I'll bring the .260 Remington, which is just a .308 necked down to 6.5mm/.264, awesome long range, low recoiling rifle. Have it in a Tikka T3x lite stainless, then added the T3x compact stock for my wife to use. It weighed 7lbs 2oz with a Leupold VariX III 3.5-10x50 on it, bare rifle with rings is 6 pounds on the nose. Highly recommend the Tikka! And you'd love that .260 Remington. Would be a fun run up against a 6.5 Creedmoor.

I just bought a 300 WSM for my daughter and it shoots 5/8” groups with 165 Accubonds at 3065 FPS. We put a muzzle brake on it and it reduced the recoil to that of a 7MM-08. Awesome cartridge!

My 300wsm in a Browning X-bolt carbon fiber SS has taken 2 bull elk. Each elk had 6 points on each side. I used 180gr Accubond hand loads going the same speed as your bondstrikes. Dropped the elk no problem. I love that chambering. But I’ve never tried it at 1000 yards. Cool vid.

Quite incredible really. For a budget priced rifle set up using a bipod off a wooden bench! That's almost one kilometer that you are shooting at! Great shooting! A local gun store has the same rifle (only 3 left in 270WSM) for sale at AUD$500. That's like USD$300! I already own a 300WSM but at that price it's very tempting. Thanks for sharing!

Cool video, just a little something for thought. I was getting my 300 WSM XPR ready for a hunt in New Zealand this past spring. I found that a limb saver barrel dampener shrunk my groups considerably at 200 yards. I positioned my dampener about an inch and 3/4 from the muzzle using hornady 180 gr outfitter series loads. The results were eye opening, just a little rubber bushing to control ultra sonic vibration in the barrel as the bullet exits the muzzle.

"Just off the right side...........about shoulder high....." It's called missed by one inch at one o'clock. Use a watch dial to tell the shooter where his projectile is at the target in relation to the hours on a clock. Let the shooter correct his scope without telling him how many mills here or there should be dialed. Try it.

My favorite targets are blocks of pottery clay. Even a .22 does significant damage to a clay block. Fun to shoot with magnum rifles because the energy transfer from the impact will blow it to pieces like you were firing a cannon. Fun targets are the best.

You should hand-load for that rifle at 1000yds. You will get more consistent results. Every rifle is different, and those variations are amplified 10x @ 1000yds -vs- 100yds. I've got some beater, well-worn, 30cal milsurp rifles that are 4-6 moa with milsurp ammo (150gr fmj @ 2700-2900 fps). Worked up some handloads, tuning and tweaking on the bench, at the range, with 150gr sierra Pro-Hunter Softpoints and Hodgden Varget. Every one of those rifles has a sweet-spot somewhere in the 2500-2700 fps range, and will produce 1 moa groups, or better, with those handloads. Hunted and harvested deer with everyone of them. Good times!!

I have 3wsm,s 270-7mmand 300wsm in TMEF limited. Shot quite a few deer with the 270 and a couple with the 7 but yet to use the 300wsm on one,just can't get off 308,s

Sure, a deer hunting video would be cool! Several years ago I had my 300 WSM and was hunting on my cousin's farm in northern WV. A buck came trotting up the hill with 2 does in tow. At about 85 yards (I was sitting on the ground), I turned, fired and dropped a 200# buck. He kicked twice and was gone! The 2 does ran about 100 yards, stopped, turned around looking to see what had happened. When I cycled the bolt to load a new round, the 2 remaining in my Savage both popped out on to the ground. I was picking them up, yelling at the does "You better run! If I get a bullet in and you're still there... You better run!" Well, they didn't. I took aim at the bigger of the 2, and fired. I could see that the bullet blew clean through her and exploded a pile of leaves behind her. She dropped and didn't even kick!! I believe I was shooting the Winchester 168 gr bullets at that time. My buck was an 8 point. My challenge to you Alan: beat my 8 points and 200#!! I have total faith in ya!

Got a Question do you take in account for how high your scope is from your barrel and the length of your barrel when you shows all the numbers you wrote down ? I was looking online at some of the ballistics and the rifles I own are 22 inch except the 22-250 it’s a 24 but the ballistics online that I was looking at was for a 24 and 26 inch barrel on 270 . I’ve got 2 and they are both 22 in . Long story short do the numbers change a bunch for a shorter barrel and the base height of the scope ? Just an old varmint hunter that has never shot 1,000 yards .... anyways you always make a great video!
