It’s hot down here but a great holiday day off. A pool party and watermelon treat for Tulip and Petunia. Both are doing great!! Stormy is also doing great. I’ve collected a sample to test this week to see if she is clear of the parasite.

Let me add my congratulations to all of the others! You are a very hard worker and deserve all praise along with your family. My favorite part was watching petunia try to copy tulip. Tulip kept a chunk of watermelon in her mouth so petunia did too. There they were these wet, brown beloved ones with a chunk of watermelon in each of their mouths. And here we all are watching our hearts bursting with pride!

Love the play area you fashioned for Tulip and Petunia, Holley! It looks spacious and safe. Love that it is open to a discrete space for each of the girls, for them to retreat to as needed. You thought of everything! Love the multiple pools... These are quite luxurious quarters. I do hope the girls will appreciate all of their amenities and opportunities for fun activities, socializing, swimming, playing, eating, and generally living their best beaver lives! Thank you for them, Holley, and for us, who will happily watch them enjoy all of this.

Tulips vocals are best described as a bit unsure. They are not aggressive. Petunia occasionally does the same vocal. They are getting to know one another.

I worry about Tulips back as well, it's natural for baby beavers to ride on their parents back in the wild, observing how to beaver safely. So it's adorable that Petunia was instantly like "I love you Tulip, teach me beaver things!" ❤ but she doesn't know that Tulip is smaller than an average beaver parent 😅 Luckily Petunia has only tried to ride Tulip in the water, where if Tulip couldn't support her weight she would just sink (which she hasn't so that's a great sign) rather than out of the water where there's nothing to distribute the pressure. I'm was more worried Petunia was going to try to wrestle like with her crinkly bunny 😂 but Tulip is very gentle about enforcing her boundaries with the little hisses instead of bites. I think she knows Petunia is just a baby and deserves some patience ❤ (IMO Tulip might be like " I'm not ready to be a Mom 😂" but that's what Dr. Holly is there for, always keeping a watchful eye) it's been progressing wonderfully and I can't wait until Stormy is healthy enough to join them. She can actually show them how to be a wild beaver, and they can teach her how wonderful watermelon and bananas are ❤

Stormy is my favorite to see because I'm rooting so much for her, but there's always a bunch of other dogs, cats and birds about. It's insane how this woman runs a small nature preserve. My hope is that's just the meds making her feel a little woozy. Strong meds take me out for a bit to 😅 probably very disorienting for a wild animal that doesn't have any exposure to medical care. ❤️‍🩹 I hope Holly puts the night camera out again soon. In the wild beavers tend to be on a more nocturnalish schedule and she obviously getting up and eating/grooming some. I can't wait until she's out of quarantine and can join the beaver brigade. She can take night watch 🤣❤️
