30th Annual Mustang and Ford Car Show in Bourbonnais, IL - 2003 / 2004 Mach 1 Mustang Row

In this video I show you the 2003 / 2004 Mach 1 Mustang row at the Bourbonnais, Illinois car show. Truly amazing to see so many Mach 1 Mustangs with a total of 5 Azure Blue's (AB ). The winner of the class was a 2004 Competition Orange Mach 1.

Thanks. I decided to truly make it a car for me and not worry about the next owner which will most likely be my daughter when she grows up. One of the next mods I'll be testing is the paddle shifting functionality of the Quick 4 controller. I'm thinking of mounting button on the center console for up and downshifts right by the coin collection area. I've looked for a way to mount it to the steering wheel and there is no way to do it without sacrificing the airbag and my thumbs don't work well so the cruise buttons won't work.

Something I noticed were the black valve covers for 03 and silver for 04. Same as the 03/04 marauders.

To save money Ford decided not to paint the valve covers in 2004. Not sure what the price difference is, but they are always pinching pennies. The automatic was on the chopping block for the 03/04 Mach 1, but by using a cast crank that saved enough money to get the pricing inline. Gotta love the bean counters... The only thing that saddened me was zero Marauders. It was a Mustang and Ford show without a Marauder. Hopefully next show there will be some.

The car is truly built around the Eaton. What's cool is I can hear the Eaton even at idle and just cruising.

The red one is mine the miles are around 23,000 I took my wife on our second date in this car and we married and had 2 children about 16 months apart the car sat a lot because car seats wouldn’t fit in the back I’ve thought about parting with it but my son is 9 now and he wants to learn to drive a stick and drive it when he gets older

I remember your car at the show and it was a very nice Mach 1. I agree keeping the car in the family is the way to go. My Mach 1 is going to my daughter at some point. When she was 6 she helped me balance the rotating assembly by weighing each part. It's the memories that make cars special. Thank you again for watching!
