I like the building.....I would if liked to see more overhang of the roofline soffet and fascia over the building....looks like you did a 12" inch overhang...I think the building would of been more protected and looked nicer with a 16"-20" overhang.
@stayystoked11 ай бұрын
Ya I get what you mean, although i'm not too terribly worried about the protection of the building because i'm going to add 12ft wide lean-to's on each side of the shop within the next year or two.

Very nice work. Great to see a build in the PNW get get a better idea about costs. I see your concrete work came in at just over $10/sqft. I'm in SW WA, and the bids I'm getting for an almost identical job are at $15 - $20/sqft ! Crazy !
@joseph71052 ай бұрын
I think even $10/sqft is nuts for a something that is considered rough labour, even easier than framing. I got a quote on a pour a slab for a new 24x36 shop. Got quoted $12,000 for the concrete & labour These guys are on crack. I build high end kitchen cabinets and don't charge near that day-rate.

Is this stick built better than a pole barn? You could do the additions with a pole barn and use a cantilever truss. The attachment to the building needs to be very strong so it does not get ripped off. I'm not sure how it is done but I think there should be a plate installed inside the wall and bolts that go all the way through.
@stayystoked28 күн бұрын
To be honest we never really looked fully at the option of building a pole barn based on the size of building and budget we were sticking with.
