I am not a pro but I will try to answer. The drone selecting is possibly to either a) Micro to each patch to get that small % of mining efficiency that can make a difference in the pro scene or b) simply warming up fingers/mind to increase Actions Per Minute so when the time comes to multi task the mid to late game, your body is not lacking in muscle movement since you did the warm up in the early game. The Overlord part is most likely to redirect to c) avoid getting killed while trying to scout or d) The Muta control group is (2+ Mutas + 1 Overlord) in order for the flock of mutas to group up and fire their entire salvo at the same time at their target. In Brood War, if you do not have another unit with your flock of air units, they will spread apart and the attack will not be as efficient since they are firing in different intervals. In addition to most likely getting picked off individually since they are easier to target. I hope I answered your questions, since I do not have any time stamps for more precise explanations. I dont understand alot of the actions taken in the very early game. The selecting and re-selecting of drones, redirecting the scouting overlord, etc. Whats all that for?
