Thanks for this but a bit confused about sf example, logically the dinner will only start after the completion of the dinner prep, it will be FS instead of SF. If using sf, it will become the dinner will not finish until the prep start, or the dinner can finish after the prep start, either of above two doesn’t make sense.

Firstly, I thank you for presenting us a scheduling demo. But I have a doubt that "is it a good practice to link the relationship between the task dependent activities and WBS?". If yes, could you please share the justification on this issue. For example, from the demo you explained, the task dependent activity ID 10 is linked with WBS ID 14 and WBS ID 11 is linked with WBS 14. Here I didn't understand why we need to link the relationship between the task dependent activities and WBS, as well as WBS with WBS. In my opinion, if I am not wrong, the relationship should be only between activities (task dependent or milestones) but not with WBS. Could you please explain me more? Thanks for your time considering.

Hello, Thank you for your comment. I'm not sure to get it. In this module I do not use WBS, so could you precise a bit more, by may be giving me the minute of the video?

@@vision6D Hi, thanks for responding. We have the rows WBS 1 - Your Top Event (say WBS Level 1) 2 - Welcome cock tile preparation (say WBS Level 2) 7 - Dinner Preparation (say WBS Level 2) 10 - Welcome cock tile (say WBS Level 2) 14 - Dinner (say WBS Level 2) Activities 6 - Drinks Preparation (under the row 2 - WBS Level 2) 12 - Offer drinks (under the row 11 - WBS Level 2) 15 - Serve first plate (under the row 14 - WBS Level 2) Relationships you assigned at 8:45 - ID 14 has a predecessor with ID 11, but why not to ID 12 at 9:40 - ID 10 has a predecessor with ID 14, but why not to ID 15 at 11:45 - ID 6 has a predecessor with ID 11, but why not to ID 12 As mentioned in the previous comment, is it a good practice to link the task dependent activity (6, 12, 15) with WBS (11, 14)? If there is any authorized publication saying we can kink the activities with WBS, could you share those journals or any authorized institute weblinks. In my opinion, according to PMBOK, chapter 6.3 - "Sequence Activities is the process of identifying and documenting relationships among the project activities". If I am wrong, I request you to correct me. Thank you!

@@suryatejamadala9888 I understand your point. Take those examples as what they are; simples examples of the different kinds of relations you can have between different tasks. Avoid mixing up with WBS. Have a great day.

Thank you for your comment. FS relation is the default and most common one found with MS Project. Have a great day.
