Nice camera work at the start. Glad you like the new map... my car was making that noise today too at a couple of parts of today's drive. Interesting your old map was all low down. My 1P Cupra has always been top end, before and after remap. My previous car was a Mk1 Cupra R (also remapped, of course) and that was all low end torque. Much more fun at the top end of the range. Another great video. I will try and watch the 140i vids at some point but I'm a bit weird with my love for Cupras

Yeah love it mate and yeah they requested full boost but ended up losing out on BHP because they balance was all wrong, but thank you mate glad you’re keeping up with all the videos👍🏻

Car sounds awesome, and can tell in the vid how quick she is. Very clean example of a cupra R too 👌🏻 I have PS4s on the front of mine now and they have helped massively (Goodyear eagle F1's before) so highly recommend them when the time comes to renew them. Great content 👍🏻

Still remember when my mate brought a cupra back in 2017 not a R just a standard 240bhp what a beast of a car

@@AJCars. yeah but let's say I saved £12,000 would I rather buy a seat Leon cupra TSI 2.0 for £6,099 10 plate with 80k or a seat Leon 2.0 TSI cupra r euro 11 plate 96k for £9,499 that only has 25bhp extra lad

@@reecelal420 it’s a difficult one because they are a lot cheaper however the Cupra R has different rear bumper and front bumper, the seats are different (better), exhaust, and is lowered slightly more from factory and even has a better inter cooler in pretty sure, they’re just better as a whole if I’m being honest but you could get a standard Cupra and map it and it would be as quick as the R, but you could say that about any car, The R is the better option if you have the money for sure, plus they’re getting rarer by the day not many of them left👌🏼

I quite like this car, it's still quite subtle, although those exhausts are way too big. It seems to drive quite well, and still have good traction with 313bhp, what tyres on on it ? Must admit I do like a sleeper, so even though my M140i is running way over 400bhp, I have stock exhaust, and no silly chavved up fake carbon tat. It's satisfying pulling away from some exotic machinary ....

Thanks for your comment as always, it’s really appreciated. Car is now running Michelin PS4S.. arguably the best road tyre on sale today? Combined with a quite linear power delivery it handles and pulls very clean.

@@AJCars. Good to hear the car has PS4's on it now matey, they are great tyres. Not the best at any one thing, but the best compromise for all weather types, and when they do give way it seems very predictable :-)

hey up pal, im looking to buy this off the new owner, he said it has a pop/bang map on, but from the video here, your car wasnt tuned with a pop/bang map, or did you have this done later down the line. now and again he said it gets a "system bank 1 too lean" fault code, did you get this when you owned the car, cheers. also did you ever find out if it was surging.

yeah mate so, it was mapped by cc tuning but it didn't have a pop and bang so he has put that on himself, probably with a new exhaust as mine was catback, and no there was no faults when I sold it, the only thing I can think is that would be a lambda sensor for the exhaust. quick fix. and no it was never surging, just pulling like a train;)

I ended up sorting the issue mate, it was either the ramair intake or the maf sensor, I bought a used stock engine cover/intake that had a maf already installed and the issue has gone, only issue it has now is the car rpm needle jumps around a little when I let go of the throttle, hopefully another easy fix

@@AJCars. bought the car, logged it and it was pulling massive amounts of timing, the boost was all over the shop and not hitting requested. I have had the map removed and although the timing pull has gone the car still doesn’t hit requested boost, I don’t know what the previous owner to me has done to it but it’s not running right at all.

@@arronlowley5659 must have messed around with it because I documented everything and it was sweet when it was in my ownership! Hope it all goes to play though, the car was brilliant!

I did think that after I heard the flutter when accelerating, however I don’t see how as the fuel filters been changed recently, the air intakes on correctly and the spark plugs have been changed, any other things that I should know about that could be causing it?

Also I think it sounds like it was surging because it revved up and died because I went over a bump in the road and it lost traction
