Hey just wanted to drop a word and let you know I was watching your videos back in 2009-2011 is era when I first started building PCs. Glad I found you man, I didn't know you were out here making content.

I have a 32" 1440p VA and its fine as far as pixel count goes. Also can use at 100% scale. Agree on 4k, it is still overkill. I like that this is IPS because VA is a smear fest.
@naoltitude95164 ай бұрын
you could get the ktc h27e22, its VA so still amazing contrast but extremely good motion clarity, also quite affordable for 1440p 240hz

@@naoltitude9516 32" is perfect for 1440, though I like it for flight sims when gaming so the extra visual space is nice. Can't go back personally! I'm a photographer of 30 years now, and I stare at iMac OLEDs (once 27" now just 24" sadly) using Capture One and Lightroom for image editing and pixel peeping beyond what is is acceptable levels of OCD all day every day. Not just to evaluate games I love - every time I will bring the RAW files home to finish off on the IPS 32" as the presentation on the OLED never gives an authentic optical preview of what a large format print would be like. It is deceptive in what it reproduces on screen. As well as using Hasselblad X2Ds in the studio (not my personal cameras or equipment, I'm not that wealthy), I deal with scans and resolutions coming from large and medium format films cameras with an Imacon scanner and a Nikon 9000 Coolscan, this is where you appreciate what is 'acceptable' pixel density, micro contrast and fidelity on a monitor because there is a physical object with which to reference optically. You're looking at micro contrast of film grain and dyes, it is almost impossible to evaluate as there is no inherent resolve. There is always better for much more money, but QHD 1440p at 32" is currently a sweet spot for me. Sitting with my face two inches from the screen and then claiming the edge rendering of text falls apart somehow would be an idiot's take when spending money (if you have it available). The 144hz 32" (400 nits and not 'true HDR') isn't perfect out of the box, you will have to calibrate your equipment and settings (with little effort actually), but the extra peak in nits still gives a fantastic vibrancy for gaming and movies at high refresh rates. Relatively speaking, there is no perfect monitor when you have people claiming a 1000 nit brightness (or 'whatever nits') and above is the only acceptable standard for a HDR screen at 32" (which is, in my 30 year experience of using monitors and displays going back to VGA and SVGA CRTS, a complete b******t tech standpoint usually coming from a know nothing early adopter/consumer or someone looking to justify a recent pricey purchase they are not fully confident in due to lack of understanding). Half the time the extra nits are deceptive simply because of ambient room lighting (iMacs in particular coming in with thick painted in black screen bezels behind a gloss finish that gives the _impression_ of a 'real' black point on screen). The relative experience of something new is part and parcel of technology, something the acolytes of exclusively top end equipment don't ever seem to understand while touting one format over the other with obnoxious impudence. Marketing dogs. It's like they adore technology, but don't really understand how it progresses edit: or more fundamentally - the function and application of it. 'On paper' experts with a catalogue and a bunch of third party talking head reviews - no experience. Anyway, my divergent rant about screens is done, 'poligies.

After using a 24" 1440p, I could never go back to a 32" 1440p. The picture on the 24" is amazingly sharp, love it. I'm using a 27" now, for better immersion and a little more viewing distance, that's the max I go for 1440p.

I'm using a 32" 768p TV right now 😬 I need to upgrade badly, I miss my old triple 24" setup but the house I'm in now doesn't have space for it so a 32" single screen is the best I can do. This monitor needs to release in the UK already as I would like one after checking out multiple reviews.

@Ayedidyae I actually understand the matter, not just reading specs.
@madant77774 ай бұрын
@Ayedidyae Specs are not what I'm talking about, it should have been obvious if you know the matter indepth. OLED monitors now are only decent in terms of longevity and are still gaming only displays that have to be babied all the time, and even then there is no guarantee they will be without faults in cca 3 years. I'm not cashing 1000+ for that, thank you. Even though I have the money, I don't need the inconvenience and that bothering me. Plus pixel clarity/arrangement and QD reflecting light in bright conditions.
@madant77774 ай бұрын
@Ayedidyae Again, you don't know how to read, I never said IPS is better, just that the state of OLEDs now is still an expensive toy that will not last long and that is not the only downside. Ad to that the price outside US and what people actually have, and that is monitors half the spec I have, and how much the majority would spend and expect it to last - no, OLEDs are not there yet.

It's decent. Though I can't stand low PPI I sit arms length from it. I'd say that's medium distance more regular per say. I liked 24" 1440p but those didn't continue with higher specs. 27" 1440p I can easily see pixels even when leaning back when I look at small details be it text and such. Though I plan to get a 4k OLED anyway.
