Whoa....that’s a great deal. You won’t regret buying this. I own 7 synths and I enjoy this one the most. There are some really nice presets (patches) to be found to download . Some free, some not (this collection is only $5 and includes a user oscillator). The Korg MIDI Librarian for downloading/uploading etc. to this synth is very user friendly . I’m not the brightest synth guy but if I can help you at all with your new XD let me know.

I just got my Minilogue XD this morning and I think that I am going to enjoy it very much. It will play well with my other synths (including a Roland D-05, Ensonoq VFX-SD, and MANY others). I downloaded two of your program packs today, including this Ambient one. I like the sounds you made in it. I will likely be getting the Minilogue XD Module next (maybe in the next week or two) so I can have more polyphony. It is too bad we cannot chain more of them together using a MIDI Thru box and effectively make the polyphony as much as we wanted :) Your programs sound very good.

Just bought this and five bucks is a great deal for the user oscillator alone, while it's very simple, I have had the patch pack for about half an hour now and haven't even touched the patches yet, just worked up a couple with the user oscillator. I can only imagine what fun it will be with the other patches!

By the way, where did you get those knobs? As much as I love Korg, my one real gripe with them is the monochrome knobs. A minor quibble, but worth fixing, at least to me.

Buy the XD if you didn't bought it yet, I made a mistake to buy the OG Minilogue (after the XD) and it sucks. The OG delay is unusable, it's as bad as they say, the display is smaller and the sound is "simpler" wit not much variations, while the XD is just out of this world. I shouldn't have bought the OG after the XD, now I try to sell it, grrrrr.

Are you using some of the Minilogue XD Eurorack oscillators found on github by chance? Since you modified your knobs, I thought you might like to know this tip as well - thread protectors for the toggle switches. I never liked the feel or look of the threaded switches. The rubber caps feel more substantial to the touch, I think looks better aesthetically, and serves a functional purpose by way of creating less horizontal wiggle room. They are mostly color coded to size. The black color fits perfectly, although there might be a manufacturer who makes them in more colors.

Hi Gerry ! In first, be sure that the XD is well connect to the librarian. You must see on it the patches that are inside the synth. When you load a patch on the librarian, this one send it to the XD in a buffer memory. Then you need to write it where you want in the memory. That's a bit long (thank you Korg) but you can load only the patches you want, and place them exactly where you want ! 😎

I say this because I spent two hours in this mistake .... Make sure you have the Minilogue XD sound librarian. There's a separate one for the minilogue and the minilogue XD, which is unnerving as shit.

Well the Korg Prologue models have 8 and 16 voiced models. Of course they aren't the same but they offer quite similar things compared to the Minilogues.

dont know what it is but i the sound of this synth does nothing for me ..maybe its because its fake analogue so is not warm or full enough and contraily doesnt cut through like digital so it fails in both areas..

this synth sounds HUGE. I have compared side by side with vintage analog. the only thing i dont like that much is the filter (monologue has a better sounding one IMO)

everyday is the same the minilogue has an all analog signal path if you don’t engage the digital oscillator or effects. It’s capable of some great vintage analog sounds but the digital oscillator section that opens so many more sonic possibilities. Especially with the excellent plug ins available to download and integrate with the analog voices and filter. I’d recommend trying one out if you get the chance and try dialling in sounds that suit your taste. Doubt you’ll be disappointed!

@@KILLAGORILLA7000 obviously I've tried one or else I wouldn't have commented..understand that if you haven't heard the synths I've mentioned you dont actually know what I'm talking about, no offence,..like I said when compared to true analogue signal path new synths analog keys boomstar it fails short for me..and so it should.as imo the reason this synth is popular is because it's easy to use even though the keyboard is dreadful, it's so called analogue , its polyphonic and cheap..its a shame really as the effects are interesting which is why I can see a few people kicking themselves cause they could have bought the nts1 for effects and some third party add ons ..and put the rest towards a real sound..

everyday is the same I have used the analog keys and boomstar. I’ve collected analog synths throughout most of my life. The analog keys is no more analog than the minilogue xd they have virtually the same signal path routing so I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make. Boomstar sounds tremendous but is hardly a useful comparison to a cheap polyphonic synth. It’s totally cool that you prefer the sound of other things to the minilogue, everyone has different taste. But, what you’re saying about the signal path is just incorrect.
