I have just bought a Roland Juno DS. I am not even a keyboard player but know a few basic chords and can play simple stuff but I find I get a great buzz by twiddling the knobs more than the keys. I really like your ambient stuff. Thats what I should do. I will keep the Juno and buy a Minilogg!!! I hope I can play them together but I have read guys have had syncing/ clocking problems doing that.

In this video I'm playing the Minilogue over a backing track I created using a couple of soft synths. omnisphere and zebra 2. The backing track was processed with Paul's Extreme Sound Stretch to make it sound like this. I use Valhalla Shimmer reverb on the Minilogue. Hope that helps!

Hey Luis! I don't remember exactly what I used but some of the softsynths I like to use are Omnisphere, The Legend and Obsession. So I write a couple of chords and melodies and process them with Paul's Extreme Sound Stretch. That's how I make a lot of my pads. You could do the same thing with the Minilogue it would just take a bit longer.

Do you use Windows or Mac? I'd love to buy one, but I heard there was an issue with the MIDI driver working with Windows, thus making the preset librarian software not work. Do you know if that driver works with Windows now? (I emailed Korg customer service twice about this, but they suck at replying. Also, great video!)

I have had issues on both win and mac with korg drivers. I got it working now though. The way I use my Minilogue now days is just via the midi and audio ports so I rarely connect it via usb.

I've used a 5 track looper to multitrack Mother 32, for chords, drums and leads. It's a Boss rc505, all loops can be synced and faded in/out independently.

You need to download Paul's Extreme Sound Stretch and then open up a audio recording you have and export/process it with the default settings and you got yourself a pad. Experiment with that app and you'll be able to create similar sounding songs in no time and don't forget the Valhalla Shimmer reverb! Or Supermassive!
