Basically any of the little saws will run an oregon K095(Husky small mount) bar with some modification, the poulans oil through the adjustment hole so I just grind down through the groove with a cut off wheel on my dremel.

@novicelumbeejack; could you direct me on how to find a .325 spur sprocket or the parts for a rim sprocket for the EGO CS1800? I have a 20" bar and several chains laying around from converting my CSX5000 to a 3/8 050 24" bar that I'd like to put on one of my CS1800s.

You can run a regular 3/8 chain and Oregon 20 inch bar no issue. Just make sure it’s the Oregon 20 with the 70 links not the 72. I run that bar combo on both the m18 and the Ryobi 40v works Pisa.

Stihl makes some nice 3/8LP full chisel (yellow tie strap) that I run on my 200T’s an when you get it right it cuts, I also run Oregon.325 full chisel on my 50cc saws. 3/8 on my big saws. On my battery saw I went the other way, stepped down to 1/4 chain and the saw seemed to like it. Not gonna win any races with it but it’s smooth and quiet. Don’t forget to put bar oil in it for awhile like I did 😄 easy to do when you don’t put gas in them

I run the PICCO chain on my Echo 335T. It's alright, I know. Just knew it would pull a .325, and wanted to set it up to see how it would handle a big bar. I've ordered an 8 pin sprocket and 16" bar, so we'll see how that goes.

Anyone know who sells the 325 sprocket for the Milwaukee saw ?

If ya don't want to lose circlips an old trick is work inside a clear plastic bag which halts their flight. Being extremely lazy I leave a magnet in the bag. I also save old toothbrushes and heat the handle to make 90-degree bends so they reach into chainsaws etc to quickly remove crap.

Hey Guys, do you know if a 1/4 sproket exist for this saw? I like to usw it for carving.

Ive got a modified Poulan Wild thing, with a 3/8 low profile, and it eats wood. I use a 14" bar, have chains made that are not anti kickback, and see no reason for a . 325 chain. A 20" bar makes no sense in a small saw. I have an ol Poulan 245, Blue XL-12 and a Husky 460 for 20"-24" bars. I have S Poulan 2450 Woodmaster with an 18", a Poulan Pro 4018 with a 10" bar. My back likes my easy to handle small saws.
@mattfleming862 жыл бұрын
The longer bars aren't always for thicker wood. They are FOR your back. a 20" bar is 4 inches less that you have to stoop over than a 16. That doesnt sound like much, but stand up straight and bend over so that your shoulders are 4" closer to the ground.. hold it a while.. you'll get the point. Only time I don a short bar is when I need to pack it on an ATV with a BUNCH of other fence running stuff. 18-20 minimum for me. Do what works for you. I'm just a guy on the internet. But if you get a nice lightweight 20" on a 40-50 cc saw you'll quickly appreciate the reach.

@@mattfleming86 I agree completely! I run the Dewalt 20" bar on my Greenworks 80V for the same reasons you mentioned. I love it. The 20" Dewalt bar has the A041 tail mount so It matches up with the Greenworks oiling system and chain size. The Dewalt 20" bar would work fine on the Milwaukee with the stock (6-tooth) drive sprocket and a 3/8 Low Pro, .050" and 68-drive links chain.

@@RG-oj8br I recently put a 20" A041 bar on my EGO CS1800, and I love it. The saw seems to ignore the fact that the bar is 2" longer.
