What a gorgeous model! The detail is just amazing... I hope they eventually release it for everyone

Me too! Maybe in a different colour, but it would be a pity if more people didn't get to enjoy it!

After getting this model, I started to realize that my collection are full of giants and I should focus on the smaller species. These smaller models are very beautiful to look at and complements the bigger model. most of my smaller model like the nano tyrannus and the megalosaurus is starting to look big. I love it as it gives more depth to the collection.
@DinosDragonsАй бұрын
Wow! So you didn't get PNSO's and HLG's smaller offerings? The small ones gives you context against which to realise how awesome your huge animals really are! HLG's small ceratopsians and ankylosaurs are also absolutely delightful to have! Plus you can easily move them around too! 😊
@turtlesoup8134Ай бұрын
@@DinosDragons Yeah, thats my mistake. I go for the most popular species first like triceratops, stegosaurus and ankylosaurus which happens to be the biggest representatives of their species/family. I have the nano tyranus, but its suppose to be nano, then i got megalosaurus which I was surprised at how small it is compared to the rest of the collection. Even the hadrosaurs I bought is the edmontosaurus which is one of the biggest hadrosaurs. Now I will focus on the smaller dinosaurs to fill the gap.

I really like this little guy. He gives me the sense that he's just minding his business, and his diminuitive size just makes him so cute. The size of this Huayangosaurus gives me hope that HLG will be able to make a Kentrosaurus one day. They make such great herbivores, and Kentrosaurus sorely needs representation of this quality. Thanks again for another great review!
@SiamSentin3lАй бұрын
im also excited for a gigantspinosaurus from HLG one day!
@DinosDragonsАй бұрын
You are most welcome! Yes I would love a 1:35 Kentrosaurus as well. I used to like dinosaurs in action, but as I get older and learn more and more about them as animals, I am gravitating towards dinosaurs minding their own business.
@MahmWithThePlanАй бұрын
On the DTF about a year ago, I seem to remember them saying something like Kentrosaurus is too small to make in 1:35 scale. Well, there is no excuse now! Love this little guy.
@DinosDragonsАй бұрын
I believe it's not just the do-ability, but other factors, including size of mould and whether this was cast together with another model to make things cost-worthy, and likelihood this would sell to enough collectors etc. Perhaps they could make a two-pack, either with another Huayangosaurus, or even another small dinosaurs. Maybe a Kentrosaurus/ Huayangosaurus two-pack if they can market it in a sensible way other than just size compatibility, since the two are a distance apart on the phylogeny.

This is the first time I've seen a Huayangosaurus toy figure review. This Haolonggood Huayangosaurus is the best option out there if one wants to buy a Huayangosaurus figure. Sadly, they didn't release it separately, but those who bought that Argentinosaurus are lucky to have it as a gift. Now, PNSO is our only savior who can give us a proper Huayangosaurus. Keep up the fantastic work, my dear sir. You are the best. 🖤
@DinosDragonsАй бұрын
Thank you Rajitha! I think this would be especially valuable to those fans of thyreophorans who want a broad representation. Then yes, certainly a few Asian reps would do very nicely! I am not sure if PNSO would do it in 1:35 though... it might do it a bit bigger. They seem to do so few models now that I expect some behind-the-scenes calculations as to what makes more economic sense.

I only hope the mould of this isn't part of the Argentinosaurus one! 😅 that might limit how many they can make!
@thomaswagner1135Ай бұрын
Sorry to hear that your PNSO Lokiceratops shipment has been lost. You seem to have quite a bit of back luck this year. Hopefully this will get better. After Haolonggood has released this Huayangosaurus, they have no excuse any more why they could not produce a Kentrosaurus or a Gigantspinosaurus.
@NetheriteGuy14-vs7neАй бұрын
Hopefully they’ll release those next year. I’m excited to see what they’re gonna give us, and although they do an excellent job with their dinosaurs, it would honestly be nice if they made more non-dinosaurs.

@thomaswagner1135 Thanks Thomas, it did actually finally show up! But this year truly hasn't been lucky in a few areas. But the 1:35 Argentinosaurus has gone very far towards making me feel a lot better! 😁 I am wondering if selling small dinosaurs for whatever reason, don't give them cost efficiency. They _could_ do a two pack the way it's in vogue to do with Dilophosaurus though!
@elizabethpendleton2401Ай бұрын
So looking forward to this little gem - as much as fact as I am to the Argentinosaurus' arrival! I value models of small animals a great deal. I absolutely agree with you on the benefits of a Chinese company producing Chinese dinosaurs. Let's hope Haolonggood feel inspired to give us a Gigantspinosaurus. In fact I'd like a full set of Chinese stegosaurids from them.
@DinosDragonsАй бұрын
I have no doubt that HLG will get there. In a sense, they are where PNSO was about two years ago, taking risks, giving us a wide range of animals. HLG somehow manages to keep things affordable for Western collectors too, so that's another plus point going for them. If they have big customer base, I suspect they can deviate more and more from the safe usual suspects!

Good news for collectors. LanaTime shop has the Huayangosaurus available ala carte for $10.99 USD.
@DinosDragons22 күн бұрын
That is good news indeed, and that is an incredibly low price! I'm glad that more collectors will be able to get this after all!
@thomasmonroe7947Ай бұрын
Ha! Besides the 1/35 scale almond suggested by another post (probably smaller than a pepper grain!), to maintain the true collectibility of the limited edition Huayangosaurus, perhaps HLG might consider an alternate sculpt for those who missed out and would like one for their collection and, also, providing a companion piece for the limited edition H-saurus. I’ve just had a thought of an original size comparison piece. A 1/35th scale you holding an almond up. Or, pepper grain. About the same difference.🙂🎸🍻🐊🐈⬛
@DinosDragonsАй бұрын
🤣 Ok but I think I would first have to invest in a good micrometer to test out that alternative 🤣🤣 I think what would work would be if HLG could give us all the Huayangosaurus in as cheap a way as possible. That means using the same sculpt with no retooling, which would add the cost. I believe the small size of this guy and how popular he will be and how well it will sell, also factors into the calculations. My only concern is that they cast this as part of the Argentinosaurus mould, in which case it would not be cost-effective for them.
@thomaswagner1135Ай бұрын
@@DinosDragons I had the suspicion from the beginning that Haolonggood would have reduced the dead space of the Argentinosaurus molds by including the Huayangosaurus. This would mean that for every Argentinosaurus they would get one Huayangosaurus. This would mean that for releasing Huayangosaurus as a regular figure, they would need to create new molds. What contradicts this hypothesis is that they only included the Huayangosaurus with the pre-ordered Argentinosaurus. When you order Argentinosaurus now, you do not get the Huayangosaurus any more.

I just got my argent yesterday and was very surprised to see this little guy, had no idea it's an exclusive! It's so tiny in comparison to anything I have, looks like I need to get more small species. The second smallest I have is PNSO's pachycephalosaurus.
