Pat, those were some beautiful stories! While you were composed while sharing such intimate stories, I was not! Tears streamed down my face while you shared the stories of your father and great, great aunt and I sobbed throughout all that you shared! That was SO beautiful. I hope you truly understand how much you touch all of our hearts . I thank you and I am so blessed by you. I am humbled and I will sleep well tonight with a smile on my face and joy in my heart! 💖

❤❤❤you are one attractive 88 year old❤❤❤ thanks for sharing, every time i hear a story that includes a confederate soldier i think of this song... Back with my wife in Tennessee When one day she called to me "Virgil, quick, come see, There goes Robert E. Lee!" Now, I don't mind chopping wood And I don't care if the money's no good You take what you need And you leave the rest But they should never Have taken the very best The night they drove old Dixie down And the bells were ringing The night they drove old Dixie down And all the people were singing They went, "Na, na, la, na, na, la" Like my father before me I will work the land And like my brother above me Who took a rebel stand He was just 18, proud and brave But a Yankee laid him in his grave I swear by the mud below my feet You can't raise a Kane back up When he's in defeat

Hi Granny Pat! What a great and emotional story of days gone by. It was sad to hear but uplifting to know how the determination of a very young lady carried her to beyond her own expectations. A true warrior that stood up and faced what she needed to do. Bless her heart. Thanks for sharing. Granny Pat, you have good roots going way back. You looked pretty in your red and the glasses set it off. Hair looked nice. Happy Labor Day Weekend. Thinking of you. Hugs. Nancy from IN😊❤

I have Really Enjoyed your Video tonight! I was like You . I didn’t care about learning History when I was in School. Now that I’m older I want to learn more. I guess that’s the way it goes for some of us. Eleanor is in the fifth grade reading at a 9th grade level. I’m so proud of her. Here little brother is in second grade , and he said he is reading at 3 and a half grade level. I am so proud of them. There parents have read to them every night since they were born. Then they have family night ready times before bed. They are very quick now to just pick up a book and read on their own. That makes for good grades. It all goes back to basics . Reading , Writing, and Arithmetic! If they would have just left things alone. Maybe I’m to Old Fashioned! ❤️😘🐝

Okay, you had me crying. It had me thinking of my dad who had a massive heart attack while playing golf and died. He was 72. He was also a man of God. He got up every morning at 4:30 a.m. to study the bible. He made many mission trips to as far away as Tibet. If only I could be 1/10th of the person that he was. I miss him, but I know he is living his best life in heaven with Jesus.

Wow! My Dad, born in 1934 died 2014, went to Berea College!! He is from Paris Kentucky. His dad worked in a solder house and a little bit for the railroad. We lived in Paris for a little while while my dad had gone to Alaska because he had joined the Navy. My sister took him and my mom in the late 90s back to Kentucky to visit, his sister and he bought a baseball cap from Berea college! I still have that hat. Thank you for sharing these stories.
