I love Jungle Pam!!! I grew up 45 minutes from Englishtown and watched Jungle Jim match race his Camaro before he met Pam. I agree with Pam on the sport becoming too corporate. I miss the spectacle, but the costs are probably too high for it to return. Thank you Pam for the great memories and to Clay for today’s!!!

Ok Clay, This is "In my humble opinion" the best at the track video I've seen so far and I've seen all of them. I guarantee that your followers will agree that you have NO REASON to apologize for the length of this video. WE Want more like it. Please keep these outstanding interview stories as unedited as possible. This is the outstanding content your fans love. Will be seeing you in Ennis Texas and your pit area will be our first stop of the day!!!! My goal is a autograph from the whole team!!! God bless clay and see you at the races 🤠.

Many of we who are in our upper 70's (77 here) remember the sight of seeing Jungle Jim Liberman AND Jungle Pam Hardy wayyyyy back in the day and we smile,, a HUGE smile 🙂 Jungle Pam in many of our minds is every bit as much of a legend as Don "Big Daddy" Garlits, Don "the Snake" Prudhomme, Ed "the Ace" McCulloch and as many legendary drag racers as there are. She made the role the "Back Up Girls" bring to drag racing a treat as well as an important role in the sport. Thanks for including the moments you and she shared at this race,, we enjoyed meeting her again after all these years,, VERY MUCH 🙂

I love how open honest Jungle Pam is about what’s happened to the sport and her feelings about the changes good or bad. I agree with her in a lot of ways how the showmanship of the sport has gone away. The throttle wacks in the pits (few teams have brought it back) the dry hops and for Pam showing a little skin it was a big show . Also this sport has gotten more expensive and technologically has far advanced with a lot of money involved. I grew up in the Broadway Bob days . I remember the circus coming to town so to speak. Definitely a fan of you Clay and the team. Love always to Jungle Pam ❤

Jungle Pam is truly a class act. When Epping ,NH had their short lived New England Hot Rod Reunion in about the same time the first national event we had. Pan was there, just blending in with the crowd. But anyone who recognized her she stop for a picture, or an autograph. She would sign anything ,pose for a picture especially near one of the 3 jungle tribute cars. I'm not an autograph guy. Ill come to the races and just hang by the pits and just watch engine build ups. But I did snap a picture.

She's so right about the "spectacle" that was drag racing back then. 64 Funny Cars was huge, and while the access to racers nowadays is great, kids these days won't have the thrill I did back in the early 70's when I was walking the pits and a socket rolled in front of my foot. I picked it up, but as soon as I did, I heard a gruff voice say, "Hey kid, can you hand that to me?" As I handed it back to him, I wiped it off with my shirt, apparently that impressed him because he asked if I wanted to help out, and of course, my response was yes. So the guy gave me a red shop rag and told his crew my job was to clean the tools, and that's what I did most of the day and got paid in sodas and hotdogs. When school started back up and our assignment was to write what we did this summer, I wrote about the day I was part of Dick Landy's pit crew at SIR.

As an old west coast Pro Stock racer from the 70's, I have many memories of Pam (and JJ) in action, everywhere from Irwindale, Pomona, Ontario, Portland, Seattle, etc, etc. Pro category drag racing was a very different world back then, especially for us peons who raced for round money and the occasional contingency payout at major races. It was all for the thrill and challenge and the chance to go really fast for a few seconds.

I sooo remember watching ABC's Wide World of Sports on Sundays with my Uncle and Grandfather back in the day and seeing Pam when they would show funny car races. I was still into baseball, hunting and fishing at age 10 or so back then but my Uncle was sure fired up when Pam would appear on the screen. Remember the days of Snake and Mongoose? EPIC race rivals! I had built those old Revel Model kits of their cars and always had a funny car and some sort of aircraft in our schools front display case.

I remember the mid-week match races when one of the Jungle Jim cars, Gene Snow, and others rolled through where I lived. A local radio station would announce the match race a few hours before the event. Usually, these drivers were on their way to another race and the drag strip was not far from the interstate. Of course, we had a major race once a year that brought in all of the heavies of the day.
