34067 Tangmere at Full Tilt on the Settle & Carlisle Winter Express 24/2/24.

SR 34067 Tangmere would be at the helm of the Pathfinder railtour the Settle & Carlisle Winter Express from Bristol Temple Meads to Carlisle via the West Coast Mainline over Shap . We first see 34067 at Salterwath in overcast conditions but going well with blue/grey riviera stock but with assistance from the 47 on the rear . The return was sees 34067 at Waitby Common and just before Kirkby Stephen Station .Thanks to Nige for the lift and company today.

Another great video, we were not that far apart today. I was at Greenholm for the outward leg and Waitby for the return leg. You had some really goood timing with the service train passing.

34067 well on top of it. It's always hard to tell with a 57/3, which run at notch eight when supplying ETS, but it didn't sound as if it was pushing very much ,if at all

Steve, You can always rely on Tangmere to provide a dramatic appearance. I am unsure whether the diesel is running to provide train heating or assistance. Regards, John
