Excellent capture, and soundtrack picking up the unmistakable sound of an EE Type 4. Unforunatley the Brush Type 4 was doing a bit more north of the border.

... great video as always, but what curious choices of rolling stock/liveries we were "treated" to day from those two excursions!🙄
@nige75777 ай бұрын
Thanks Martin, I thought the 40 might have the Scotrail liveried stock on this with it going to Scotland for two days but obviously not and with WCRC being restricted to using stock with central door locking at present it was decided Pathfinder would use the Riviera blue/grey stock as Riviera own Pathfinder tours so that saves Pathfinder hiring in stock, hope that helps, cheers 👍

Why the full yellow end ????
@nige75777 ай бұрын
I’m presuming because that’s how the 40s livery looked towards the end of the sixties before the introduction of blue livery.
@bob-sb2zu7 ай бұрын
Stating the obvious ! When these locos were working the west coast crack expresses 1958-62 they had green livery with no yellow ends,then just small ones till around 66/67, by the time they acquired full yellow ends they no longer were top link machines and most only ran like this for a short time till blue took over .I would like to see one as it was in it's heyday plain green hauling a named train over Shap &Beattock .
