I have lived in Guanacaste, Costa Rica for 15 years. Most seasoned expats avoid Tamarindo. Tamarindo is full of surfers, young foreign tourists, drugs, beggars, and party goers. This is not a town for families, or a quiet scenic romantic getaway.

Isn't it wonderful how everyone gets to have their own opinions and share their own views. Tamarindo may not be for everyone, yet I LOVE where I live and couldn't think of a better place to raise my kids. ❤ I lived here back in 2000 for 2 years, and it sure has changed. And so have I. 😊
