Thanks Alex,great workout.Have to modify exercises slightly as i have severe osteo arthritis in my right ankle.Using a wall for the static side lunges helps also the static lunges.

Those “deep squat to hamstring” were called monkey effers when I was in the military. Doing these as a group and calling them out always made the platoon laugh.

Hi Alex , Is this Dumbbell program designed for weight loss ? and also does it come with any nutritional advice ? I’ve been watching the previous Dumbbell workouts and think this could work for me as I’m looking to lose weight and get as lean as possible so I can road cycle . Excellent content, we’ll done.

Whereas every workout is inherently helping with weight loss, if your goal is to lean down you should either cut your daily calories or focus on doing cardio training (or both). Doing a leg workout like this will be worth it, too, since you are training for biking. But don't expect this to melt your fat away on its own.

Hey Michael this certainly helps with weight loss if you take into account nutrition, cardio activity etc. Building muscle is a key part of making fat loss easier. Alex I have a lot of weight to lose about 3 and a half stone I have a garage gym with numerous dumbbells, a Smiths Machine, a barbell set ( 140kg) and rowing machine . I’m 54 and lost my way in life after I separated from my wife which has been difficult for me and a dare say I am depressed. As a result of this I’ve been emotionally eating , lost motivation for a lot of things and have just let my fitness get out of hand , I’ve lost my way and am struggling to focus and get started . I’ve really enjoyed watching your workouts, your energy and the warmth and kindness you show has kept me on an even keel emotionally. Thank You, so I need help taking the next step … getting back to the gym / my workout space . I live and will train alone so would like you to chose if you can or advise to me the best plan where I can succeed with my equipment I’ve outlined would you recommend Gymfit or go with the Dumbbell program? I will be 100% committed as I need this to work for me and I have hobbies I’d like to get back to also which are Road Cycling and Track Cycling . I’m desperate to lose this weight and get as lean as possible . Can you help me ? Thank You for your time 🙂.

amazing workouts, I'd like more upper body alternately with lower body workouts, with dumbles, kettlebell and body weight. What would you say, is better to do whole body workouts i.e. upper and lower body in one day, or interchangeably, one day upper body and other day lower body?
