It absolutely floors me that People think making over 3,000 HP on a cast block is easy. Let alone reliable. Literally at the limit of a cast block. As Greg said, they’re pushing the limits. The weak spots will make themselves known and quiet obviously have. This is how improvements are made. Gotta break stuff to figure out the weak spots. Ya just work through them 1 by 1. When stuff stops breaking, ya start turning it back up until it starts breaking again. Rinse and repeat… People that hate can’t do what these guys are doing. Props Greg and silent Mike! You guys have built some ridiculous machines!!!

@@persistentwind just use good quality parts… For example Conn rods, minimum of Wagler Street fighters. Get a good tune, even the best engine or transmission won’t survive a bad tune even at lower HP numbers.

Not diesel, but the Coyote has been proven (winning overall Sick Week, Tx2k24, Import vs Domestic) to hold 3,000 + and runs 6.2s @ 228 mph. The oe crank is flexing at this point. Truly remarkable what these guys do pushing the boundaries.

But regardless of the unfortunate series of events with the og 05. You and Michael have surpassed the impossible. Despite the carnage of the 05 and the unsatisfactory results in the event for Greg. You can't help but be inspired by not only Greg but Mike and the whole team. I honestly do not think there is another group of guys out there dedicated and working as hard as these guys. Its almost unreal to watch. From the 05 sitting in a mess on the dyno to Michael setting another world record on the same day, its a crazy run and I'm glad I can witness it. Greg’s was the best dyno run of the whole event, made great numbers. And had all the carnage. When your pushing huge monstrosities of boost, and pushing the timing envelope, then add nitrous shit can get real. But my vote for the best dyno run went to Greg. All the haters on the couch at home just wish they could do that to their truck.

The engine locking and the momentum of the dyno rollers ripping the tires was my best guess. If you can determine a cause , let us know. Pushing the envelope , things are going to go wrong. The worst is not having enough evidence left to learn anything from , so all loss , no gain. The tarp setup looked phenomenal. Congratulations Michael 👍

The new turbo setup was probably the issue. The tires blew because the engine siezed then the tires went because the tires wwere stopped and the drum was still spinning.

At about 35:00 he's talking dyno drum not stopping and the wheels rolling against them (sans tires) & the noise it produced...with that noise, I thought he busted a driveshaft.

Looked like a power/ground issue to the injectors. and/or a over all voltage drop. Data could show a fluctuation in rail pressure when the engine was puffing. It may be hard to see with how fast the fluctuations happen It's probably time to go 16V for the ecm/nitrous

The engine studdered then it let go. I think #6 missed at high rpm then the rod cap lifted due to loss of cylinder pressure.

2 things I don't understand. Cracked block on what looks like #6 cylinder region on engine 1 thats been used for a while causes them to put in the backup motor, to then have the backup engine break in the same region on its first run under full power. Im guessing here but I feel the sheer weight of those turbos on that side of the engine along with boost pressures/ v bands (no give) is what I feel is stressing the block to break in that area. Also the dyno operator should be in the passenger seat both doors closed every-time that things going. Looks so stupid seeing him jump into the lap of the driver during every run like why not just make the cord for the controller longer so that everyone can be safe. (We're all stupid to some degree)
