I have just installed the 20Amp version of the Kickass into my Triton. It gives all the power you will ever need. Your unit will really pump out the amps when required.

i have the Kickass 170ah slim behind the back seat. purchased the 25A DC to DC kit when on special. Running the 110watt Kings panel atm, which is not quite enough for the 75l fridge freezer and the 6amp Marine Travel Buddy (gotta love my travel buddy). I love the Kickass gear. Going to purchase a 200W shingled solar panel for the roof. Shingled seem far more efficient (i run a 300w Shingled Panel for my caravan, and it keeps my 300ah lithium nicely charged. (running 50a Renogy Dc to Dc with MPPT to the Lithium) There is a Grommet in the passenger side rear wheel arch, which takes the fuel cover release cable. I fed my solar cables through that. Also stopped the issue with the fuel cover not opening when the lever is pilled for some reason. The grommet is accessible from inside the cab, and if you take the arch liner out from the rear passenger side wheel arch, its really easy to get to. No drilling required.

Thanks for taking the time to show us the set up, do you know how many amps or watts your system peaks charging at?

Why did you screw into the roof racks instead of using channel nuts and a bolt? Way stronger and it's the reason the channel is there in the rack!

Aren't mc4 connectors only rated for 30ah?

why not insert nuts holding it on the racks.

Did you have to drill holes into your cabin? My MQ seems to lack any holes in the back and only has one for the wiring lume at the front. Very annoying

Yeah mate just popped a hole in it 😆

Have you had any real life readings of what your panel can output? Any idea of how many amp hours it might deliver on an average day? Thanks.
@mrtriton54052 жыл бұрын
Not sure yet but I'll download the solar app and see if I can get some real life numbers 👍

@@mrtriton5405 Thanks. I'd be interested to see what it delivers. I'm planning a setup to power a 200AH lithium and prices are all over the place. Super cheap (and probably crap) to ultra expensive (but will the law of diminishing returns kick in at that level). Trying to do my homework but everything's clear as mud LOL.

Sorry bud, you've been stooged, that panel is no where near 350W, but hopefully its an improvement on the XTM (which I have too).

Sorry late reply! For $130 I'm not going complain 😆
