You will love it! I just looked at the site and there’s 3 different series now, which one you going to go with?

@@SJSSawdust The pro series, I'm undecided between the woodworker and journeyman. I'd love to have the journeyman in my shop but I'd have to do a fair bit of rearranging to fit things in there. Keep it up, your channel is one I've been following for a long time now.

@@NWGR You can’t go wrong with the bigger machine, and if you add on the laser module, that’s easily the biggest diode on the market. I’ve rearranged the shop monthly to help improve workflow, my wife always rolls her eyes when I tell her that “I’ve finally got it!” And thanks for watching for so long, I really appreciate it !
@NWGR8 ай бұрын
@@SJSSawdust That's what I'm really leaning towards since the price difference is only a few hundred $$. I'm not sold on a laser in my shop yet, but I have looked into it a bit.

@dewaynethole7698 ай бұрын
@@SJSSawdust no, I have mine in a 2 car garage that I insulated pretty well. I have a small heater that keeps at around 40-45 or so. If I plan on working out there then I turn on the propane heater for about 30 minutes prior to going out.

Thanks for the great review. Can you tell us what type of depth per pass and IPM it can handle on let's say a 1/4 UpCut end mill on walnut or cherry? Many thanks Jason
@SJSSawdust2 ай бұрын
@@NineFingersDesign Sure. To be honest, the only limitation, even with a trim router like I have (but you could install a spindle ) - is the integrity of the bit itself. I had this going at 150 ipm, I forgot to tighten the collet because I’m an idiot - it dropped 90% out of the collet so it was plowing through 3/4” oak and about 1/2” MDF of my spoilboard - seemingly no problem. Those ball screws are invincible

I'm so thankful to have found your channel, Subbed!. My first video was on your tips you learned before the craft show you went to with all those trays, then this one 3 years later. What gold!! I have a question I didn't hear covered in this video, the software. I recently learned that Carbide Create Pro added vcarve capability to make those insane 3d cutting boards (inlays) and was wondering if you think it would be compatible with the OneFinity?
@SJSSawdust5 ай бұрын
@@congruewoodworks1474 thanks so much! As far as software goes, I think as long as you can create g-code, the Onefinity can read it. I started off using Easel, and now I use VCarve

Great info and I feel the same about my Onefinity X-50 Journeyman that I've had for about 2 years now. Regarding drag chains, the current Pro and Elite series now come with factory drag chains. The older and current X-35/X-50 do not come with drag chains. As you said, those are optional purchases through the Onefinity site. My X-50 Journeyman did not come with drag chains, so I ordered them from Amazon, then never installed them.

Are there any quality issues? I’d planned on a Sheapoko 5 Pro. I’m hearing of QA issues with the controller. The plan is hobby CNC now, selling stuff later. The Onefinities appear more expensive. That’s ok is the quality is there. Please share your expertise. Thanks.

@@user_16309 I am not affiliated whatsoever with Onefinity - so my opinion is mine alone. This machine is awesome. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Even more, now that they have the new controller, that is so much more capable than mine - it’s even more of a no brainer.
