Hi Nigel, I hope tour dinner was as good as that harvest. I had our two girls around for lunch with an orange glazed baked ham and typical for Sydney it was bloody hot day. Hi Nigel, happy ding doing. Down in deepest Northants, my growing season has been mixed. Like you, I had Varying spud issues with Cara variety. They barely stood boiling before turning mushy. I experimented with sweet candle sprouts, they did OK. I finally got some Crispus sprout plants away, but like you, they came early then stopped. Also the first pickings were small and some blew. They didn't really get going again until November, and came good in the end. Leeks we're awful, onions were good. Early cauliflowers were terrible, but the Autumn Giants did very well. I put it all down to the weather this year, plus very variable compost. Who knows what next year will bring? All part of the fun I guess. Get well soon. Jeff.

Nothing worse than being poorly at this time of the year, my wife has been so lucky not to catch anything during the chemo as we have both been isolating to try and avoid the bugs and covid. Nice harvest, my Brussels did well, but mine last year were like marbles......😂. Moving my carrots and parsnips next season, they certainly don't like being grown in the same place. 🎅Happy gardening, Terry King.
