What Margaret has accomplished is remarkable. I love her courage in saying that she is a believer in God and feels the spirit of God in her life. It's as courageous to say that in today's world as it was to dissent within the Mormon church. So great to hear from her.

It's such a massive shame that the church excommunicated her. I get that there's got to be certain required beliefs for any religon, but the LDS church should allow for a lot more of a variety of opinions than it currently does

I was not excommunicated but I had a very fast name removal. It was a very rough time in my life and needed to church support. I was not under and church discipline but continued to have weekly meetings with the bishop. I am a believing non-member

Margaret Merrell is right about one thing. Church excommunication is a violent act. Been there. They talk that it is and say it is an act of love. WRONG!

It is usually an act of priestcraft. Have a nice day.

I have a question and i have been looking for answers on Podcast that talk about the LDS Movement (Use the translator) He escuchado muchos mitos sobre como fue quitado el Vino(Wine) de la Santa Cena, quisiera saber históricamente cual fue la verdadera razón para reemplazarlo por agua?

Thanks for posting this. I'm sad that we don't have Margaret as a member of the church with us anymore and have hope that she may choose to join us again in the future. It's hard to tell exactly what it was from this interview that was so objectionable to the local brethren at the time of her excommunication. Her ideas about grace and a Heavenly Father and Mother don't seem too scary. If she's advocating for women's ordination to the priesthood, I think she is entitled to that opinion without being excommunicated as long as she is not tearing down the brethren or leading people away from the church. Anyway. She seems like a lovely person and we certainly want her back with us as part of our church family.

I'm sad too. Two of the Sept Six have come back: Maxine Hanks and Avraham Gileadi. Lavina Anderson was recently denied her request to be restored to the fold. So that is 2 steps forward, and 1 step back. Clearly people like Margaret don't have full control of their return. But the church has changed too. Maxine hasn't really recanted her earlier beliefs (and Packer has died) so perhaps these questions about women and priesthood wouldn't be so threatening today as they were in 1993.

If you read the Mentinah Archives, you will see that woman are born with the priesthood....the "Church" has left out so many things, that we have to know for ourselves. I no longer call myself a member of the LDS church, I am a member of the Church of the First Born...

Hey Rick do you have any videos with scholars about the Adam-God doctrine spoken of by Brigham Young??? I would love having some insights about that topic.

I have an interview scheduled with a Seventy and Apostle from Christ's Church to talk about Adam-God. It will probably be released in April I believe.

It's always better to be in the church and wait for it to change than to wait for it to change outside the church. I see why feminism is dangerous, because it mixes lies with truth. But that's just my opinion I guess. And I'll probably get some heat on here for that, I believe you can have equality without feminists groups. As a Seer, it's Elders Packers stewardship to warn us of dangers. That being said, we're all going some place where God wants us to learn and grow, and we are all on that path. Hope she comes back someday and enjoys the journey of a Heavenly Father in her life until then.

Yes, absolutely they are to warn us. Today the biggest warning is to not do honest research. You know, go to original documents. Try reading the church essays. Many people were excommunicated for teaching the very same things. That's confusing.
@MrHFMetz4 жыл бұрын
I agree on your opinion of feminism. I do not agree that this sister should "come back" someday to enjoy the Father in her life. What do you mean come back? Re-baptized? She was and is with the Spirit as ever. The priestcraft by which she was "exed" was not effective at all. that was a smokescreen just to frighten others. Packer did'nt like intelligent people; he was not a seer at all. This whole tragic incident (the september six I mean) proves that the church has derailed.
