I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness and the Lord led me through a great deal of difficulty and I arrived, in my quest for truth only by God, to the one Church I was taught to hate. I am a grateful Catholic today by God alone.

Very informative and explained in great detail. I’m an ex Muslim, my journey into the Catholic faith has been very interesting and exciting. After I left the Islamic fold, I found out I was baptized as an infant into the Catholic Church ⛪️ and that brought tears of Joy to my eyes because it was there that I knew without any hesitation that God was in control of my Spiritual path. Thank you very much for clarifying a few questions I had.

What a beautiful testimony! I was a cradle Catholic until three years ago. I was so lost. I started my journey back to the church attending RCIA meetings...just to listen because I have all my Sacraments. It was the best decision I made. I learned how beautiful pur Catholic religion is. It has been a hard journey back because the world brainwashed me in so many areas, but i am so happy to be back home. God bless you all! Please pray for me🙏🏼
God has blessed you because apparently you encountered an RCIA program that was faithful to the teachings of. the Catholic Church. Most are not. For instance, they often teach that Jesus did not give us the seven sacraments, but that the Christian community made up the sacraments as they saw the need, etc.

God also use “Mother Mary” to me through Our Lady of Perpetual Help to get back with Him. I think because He wants me to learn to honor her. And know that she is “full of grace”. And when God sees her, he sees that “full of grace” woman/mom. And it happened in my life. It’s kinda sad that the enemy is tricking the people and twisting her as the “devil”. Thank you for that clear, beautiful testimony. I was a faithful follower of Christ in the Protestant church for most of my life. We raised our children who also love Jesus. My two daughters converted to Catholicism after looking at the history of the church. I couldn’t understand, at the time, why they would choose Catholicism. That challenged me to study and pray, which took me on a journey I never expected. At one point I told God I would never become Catholic. Here I am three years in and I know that I’m finally home. Cradle Catholic here. Was away 30 years. Came back home. My testimony is seriously so much like your own. I might have a few side trips that would be different, but I know the truth, and it set me free. God reached into my life in a supernatural way and saved me from spiritual captivity. It cost me everything in my life when I chose to obey the call of Jesus to return to the Catholic Church.. Though very agonizing, for my heart , it has brought fruitfulness to others.His peace does surpass all my understanding .It is encouraging to hear that God has others like myself who chose to do the work of endless hours of reading, seeking and praying, then finding the answer is ...Jesus has a Church, and the gates of hades will not be able to keep it untriumphant! My conversion was a similar experience. A little different but ended the same way lol. I was received into the Church a few years ago now. I realized that true worship requires a sacrifice and that while protestant, I wasn’t actually worshipping the Lord by listening to a band and a man’s sermon and praying. True worship is to offer a sacrifice and we do that every Holy Mass by offering the Body & Blood of Jesus Christ. What drew me into the Church was my desire to have Christ dwell in me physically and spiritually-to be able to receive the Eucharist. I had many nights experiencing spiritual warfare during the 8 months of RCIA. The devil did not want me to convert. I’m so grateful I persevered. I am so thankful for the gift of confession. It truly is a sacrament in which I feel renewed body and soul. I know Protestants will say we can ask the Lord to forgive us personally, however He said to confess our sins to one another. And hearing myself say my sins to the priest really is humbling and really puts into perspective my sins. It also helps me to not want to commit the same ones over and over again. I realize my patterns of sin and the process is a constant conversion and helps my path to be changed to be more Christ like. I could go on and on but I’m just to thankful to be part of the Church that Jesus started and the Church in which Jesus is present everyday physically and to be united with Him is such a blessing. God bless and protect those on their conversion journey. Lord guide them to the truth, in Jesus name, Amen. 🙏

I knew people who had them and ever batted an eye . We were brainwashed into believing it wasn’t a human an thx privacy was the important issue Then my daughter became pregnant with my first grandchild and I saw an ultrasound for the first time. 25 years of turning a blind eye instantly fell away. That was the first step when I discovered the Catholic Church was right and my journey back begin.

But it was just a few weeks ago that i explained to my eldest daughter (who was about to skip our daily 6pm Rosary for an online bible study of born again christian) that she is just joining a "man-made religion". I asked her who is the founder of the sect, and she immediately gave me a name. I asked her if she know who's the founder of Catholic, she doesn't know and threw the question back to me. I was about to answer madly with full parental authority, but my mouth calmly and softly said- " i can't, for our religion the Catholic faith is never founded by a mortal man but goes back to the lineage of Jesus' disciples." From then on she never ask to excuses herself from praying the Holy Rosary.

@@rosaceliamagana674 it’s a long story but I will give you a quick breakdown! I was a cradle Catholic, baptism, confirmation, the whole shabang. Shortly after my confirmation my parents decided they wanted to start going to a Presbyterian church. As a minor I didn’t have a choice and that’s where we went. Once I turned 18 I stopped going all together. I would show up on Easter, Christmas to appease my mother but that was the extent of my involvement in the church. During this time I slowly started evolving into an alcoholic. I stayed that way for 10 years before I hit rock bottom while staring at a loaded gun ( I was really sick). I got sober through AA and the 12 step program highlights reliance on a higher power. This started my prayer life up again. Jesus is my higher power. With that being said I still wasn’t back in the church. I was still showing up to the Protestant church to appease my mom. 6 years of sobriety later we fast forward to now. I found myself still feeling a hole… and in the back of my mind as I would drive past the parish I was catechized in I would feel this pull to go to mass… I then went down a long road of reconfirming the truth of the Catholic Church as the true church and immediately felt what I had always known…. This was home… this was what I needed. Christ had been calling me… and I was finally able to hear him. Long story short I mustered up the courage to go to confession ( I did some bad things in the middle of my addiction) but the weight that came off after that confession is unexplainable. My first mass back was so fulfilling and really confirmed this is where Christ wanted me to be the entire time. I am fully back in the Catholic faith, have both my children baptized in the church and am a proud Catholic. Sorry for the diatribe! God bless

Thank you Edie! I am a cradle Catholic who turned away from God, then found Him but started going to a non orthodox Methodist church. I was at home but constantly struggled with the division in the Christian community. Your testimony is my testimony to a point! I had trouble reading the bible and always went online to guys like Mike Winger, John McCarther, Paul Washer, R C Sproul, Voddie, CS Lewis etc and they all had different teachings and interpretations but were consistent in 1 belief.....their dislike of the Catholic church. I stayed away from anything to do with the Catholic church because the church was "satanic" as is the view out there. The confusion got so overwhelming that I begged God to reveal the truth to me. I had decided to quit youtube and just read my bible when something in me told me to research the Catholic church. It really took a leap of faith to go against my reformed beliefs but it was this same feeling that told me to research about yogic meditations, when my practice was deepening, and why I then became Christian after realising it was satanic. I started to research about the Catholic church through Catholic apologists and reformed Christians who converted. IT IS MIND BLOWING: 1. How could we be so blind to see all these churches were man made. Started by egoists who thought they could do better than Jesus 2. The number of people who have been deceived is outstanding. These preachers are going to have a lot to account for. We need to pray for them that their eyes may be open and that they repent before it is too late. 3. Matthew 7:21-23 breaks my heart! 4. We have a big task of praying for all those souls in purgatory. I cannot help but feeling this overwhelming responsibility to pray for as many souls as we possibly can. We took the 1st step toward Christ now the work begins. It hit me after mass today when the Priest said go in Faith to love and serve the LORD. This was the 1st time I ever understood what those words meant. We need to do God's work in saving souls both here and in purgatory. We cannot be silent or lukewarm in our faith. I thank God for the journey He put me through because I could have been one of those lost souls. My experiences have allowed me to understand the urgency of the mission. God bless you Edie for your much needed ministry. Your videoes strengthened my resolve when I got back to church on 13 June 2021, had my first confession after a couple of decades and received communion. God is AMAZING! I have not felt this way before. My faith has strengthened to 100% for the 1st time in my life. I am experiencing God in such profound ways. I won't even go into how my love for and understanding of Mary has developed...this post was meant to be a couple of sentences 😂.

3 years ago you posted this and I just saw it❤ this coming Easter Vigil I will be 3 years a Catholic after converting from evangelical Protestantism but as I found out in RCIA? I always was Catholic because I found out I was baptized Catholic but not raised that way. I was always searching for God. Studied with Jehovahs, Mormons, Congregationalists, Baptists, Bible speaks cult now called Greater Grace World Outreach, Evangelical Free Church and landed with Assemblies of God, but none of them could ever answer my one question. “If there is only one God, One Son of God, One Word of God how can there be so many different religions” one day a woman at work gave me Scott Hahn’s book Rome Sweet, Home and I was hungry for more! and my husband asked me what are you doing? You’ve been talking a lot about Catholics lately, I hope you don’t want to be one! And my now ex friend at my old church said Catholics are unbiblical (she’s now a pastor) so I told her how can that be when the Catholics gave us the Bible! So one night at a home growth group I stood up and said I can no longer be a part of this NewDay Church (it used to meet at the BasketBall Hall of Fame) because if the world hates Catholicism this much? That must be Jesus’ church and I’m going to be with Him! When I walked into my Parish for the first time in 2020?, I fell to my knees in tears when I saw the Altar and realized I was seeing the Church that I read about in the Bible for 30 years❤ my story is long and crazy and that’s as shortcut of a version I can do for a comment.

@@CatholicReCon Hi ! Thank you for your wonderful sharing! I am just curious 1. You mentioned you were an altar boy for 10 years. Didn't that help you in your faith ? The altar boy experience was supposed to nurture and groom future priests so where do you think it went wrong? 2. Why do you think many Catholics stopped practising after leaving High School ? What went wrong in the Catholic system that the faith formation wasn't strong enough to hold High School leavers ? 3. When you were considering going back to church, it appears from the video you didn't seem to have considered exploring the Catholic Church in the beginning. Any particular reason why the 1st choice wasn't "coming home"? I am a covert to the faith and it pains me to see through Catholic clergy just don't seem to bother to properly form faith and let go of people so easily - they don't seem to go after the 1 lost sheep 4. As regards to tradition in 26:26 of the video, you probably know Sacred Traditions (including oral teaching) from the era of the Early Church Fathers (till AD 400) constitutes divine revelation too. Other traditions not from this era can be changed as they are not part of Sacred Traditions. Thank you and I look forward to your session with Michael Lofton in Reason & Theology.

@@jeremiahong248 Thanks for this! 1) Sadly, I was barely present through most of it all. That’s probably why it didn’t stick. I never understood the significance. 2) I’m not totally sure. Catechesis could have been better, but the culture was super strong. There wasn’t a plan of offense for us Catholic high schoolers. All defense. Which doesn’t bode well the minute the world questions your belief system. 3) I actually couldn’t “see” the Church during that period. I was completely blind to it. Very odd, but it’s the truth. Only God was able to confront and correct my vision. 4) yes. Thanks for that. Agreed. I had trouble making sense of it all during that period of time. God bless you. Thanks again for writing.

It does say a lot. And prior to the 2nd Vatican Council, there was even less biblical instruction within Roman Catholicism towards the laity.
@GBCompton Жыл бұрын
This is a common refrain, as if it's the fault of the Church for an individual's lack of knowledge about the Faith. If the parents don't practice and go to Mass, there's no way 1 hour of very basic instruction will do much. I am helping in the high school Confirmation at my parish this year, and learned to my surprise that the kids just get dropped off and their parents don't go to Mass. I'm still grateful to God that at least their parents care even a little bit to drive them to church. I try to remember that God is the real teacher, and hopefully a mustard seed will grow in these teens.

God brought me back to the Catholic faith. When I prayed for direction and His will, He told me to take the 90 year old Polish neighbor to Mass and sit with her. I did, and fell in love with the Mass. I still tried to find loop holes out of because I had grown to believe all of the lies told over and over in our culture. I had an evangelical question me, and it caused me to dig more and God led me to answers- explanations for all those false statements made about Catholicism. And yes, He showed me it is the one true faith. Reading Rome Sweet Home was the final piece of the puzzle. I love our faith and my heart is on fire for Jesus. This is His one true church. It makes sense when you read the early church fathers, and look at the Bible in the light it was intended. I do find it amazing how few Christians know where things like the Trinity come from, let alone the Bible through the various counsels. The Book of Acts is clear- they made the decision WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, and then distributed it. It’s amazing! And it is the only church that offers true food and the true wine of Jesus’s Body, Blood, Soul & Divinity.

CCC 158: "Faith seeks understanding": it is intrinsic to faith that a believer desires to know better the One in whom he has put his faith, and to understand better what He has revealed; a more penetrating knowledge will in turn call forth a greater faith, increasingly set afire by love. The grace of faith opens "the eyes of your hearts" to a lively understanding of the contents of Revelation: that is, of the totality of God's plan and the mysteries of faith, of their connection with each other and with Christ, the center of the revealed mystery. "The same Holy Spirit constantly perfects faith by his gifts, so that Revelation may be more and more profoundly understood." In the words of St. Augustine, "I believe, in order to understand; and I understand, the better to believe."

I was listening to one of our Anglican bishops talk about his faith journey. He was raised in the church, was an altar boy and sang in the choir. It was when he was in college that he left the church and found himself in an evangelical church. After many years in an evangelical church where he said that he “heard the gospel”, he found his way back into the Anglican church, and is now a bishop. I was chatting with him after his talk, and said to him “how could you have not heard the gospel in the liturgy?”. He said that it required the scales “falling off his eyes“ to see the truth in the gospel and the life-giving liturgy in the church. Thanks be to God!

Outstanding video!! Thank you! When I was a Protestant for my whole life I always was church hopping every few years. Then in 2008 I stopped working to take care of my ill father at home. One day the Mormons came to our door and we let them in... they started coming over often and we liked these two young men very much. I would make breakfast for them sometimes and we would have discussions with them that were interesting. One day they said the priesthood had been lost in the dark ages and needed to be restored. They said God restored it through Joseph Smith. After they left I thought about that and said to myself, "Thats something I never considered in all my years in searching for the truth" of which was very important to me, TRUTH. I then thought, "If that is true then where was the priesthood, and if its not true, then where is the priesthood?" I thought, "I think the Catholics say they have the priesthood" I then said to my dad, "Dad, lets go down to the Catholic church on Sunday, I just was to see" So we did... As soon as I entered the church I felt something I had never felt before in any other church! I felt a Holiness surrounding me, and a peaceful reverence I had never felt before! I could not deny they holiness! At the end of the Mass i turned to my dad and said, "Dad, I want to become Catholic" He said he wanted to too! I then entered RCIA, my dad went to confession since he had beed raised Catholic and had beed gone away from it for 50 years when he married a Protestant. The priest we walked up to was ecstatic we we walked up to him at the end of Mass and asked him "Father how do we become Cathlic"
