#37 HW80 Venom - Another Farmyard Wander

After the last HW80 video was so well received I thought it would be good to get out again with it on the farm. Had a very pleasant morning in the spring weather while helping the farmer with his ongoing pest control. Hope you enjoy it!

Thanks Andy! Seems like springers are rightly having a resurgence again, and about time. I’ve picked up a Paul Short tuned 97k, titanium piston, glided and it shoots like a dream so that’ll be in the farmyard next time out. Take care buddy 😊👍

I have had a few hw80s the most famous one was Mike wade tuned one I now have the new HW 80 with 1/2 unf and moderator It’s .22 so it’s a hard hitting rifle

Yes mate it’s an early tune so it’s got a Venom seal, their custom made spring, guide and top hat. They also polished the piston and shortened and recrowned the barrel from a standard length to a carbine and fitted the SlimTech moderator. Thanks for your kind words I’m glad you enjoy them Ben

Dont get me wrong when I say I would not swap my hw100 for a venom 80 but I love to get out with wh80/tx some time just a wander about and they require a bit more input from the shooter to shoot well. and sometimes its not about the size of the bag ATB.ps what slugs do you put through the old girl.

@@malc1730 She gets JSB RS 13.73 grain they are very accurate in it, actually my favourite 0.22 pellet.

@@NottsPestControl not tried them I am using crosman 14.33 I like to go as light a pellet as I can in my springers they are accurate but I do find them a bit hard. but I will try and get hold of some off them cheers

Hello again from the States. Nice shooting, no flapping, no flopping, instant kill shots. The 45yd feral kill was nice. Both Grey and red squirrels are legal game over here. Are you allowed to shoot starlings? My favorite pest bird.

Thanks Scott. Starlings used to be on the licence but were taken off mainly after grain storage was made to be sealed so pests couldn’t get in. That was the main reason they were shot

I fully understand, they are only pests when they are causing a nuisance or health issue. Any other time they are part of the ecosystem, unlike the invasive Grey Squirrel! I’m sure you’ll enjoy the 80 they are lovely big guns
