Sorry if you have mentioned it before, but what is the make/model of that wood stove? Are you happy with it? I have only ever used kni co stoves.
@TwobarpsiАй бұрын
For those who don't know, it's a 10:1 ratio of snow to liquid water by volume. It would take 10 pots of melted snow to get one pot of liquid water. Snow is also very porous, which makes it a pain to melt. I'm always amazed at how that little stove can keep a thin walled tent, with no insulation, warm in the winter! Excellent trip Bud!!

I camp out by my fire pit in my back yard when it snows like a bastard. I'm less than 30 yards from a warm toilet seat lol. But watching these two awesome people and their winter camping videos awakened my love for cold camping that I gave up in the late 80's. Thanks again Jon and Erin.

Jon and Erin! Great to see you two at it again! I’m a skinny lad who grew up in Texas and Southern California so watching Erin in that icy plunge took my breath away. Jon, it’s good to see another fellow hammocks who lands the plane in winter! I tried and tried both on backpacking trips and day hiking local woods near home to get into hammocking in winter with a blue ccf mat and a reflectix mat underneath it and I was still freezing after a time. I’ve decided that I will stick to tents on winter trips. Much warmer for me and I can spread stuff out better. Great trip here and you two take care. NQU

I have the same model of deeper as the one you are using. I have used it for ice fishing as well as on rivers and streams. Another nice and portable unit that you can out in your pocket and carry around when hiking up and down rivers and can scan much larger areas when casting it out into lakes and rivers. All your fishing trips can easily retrieved in the units program for later study.
