Jon - I only just found your channel a week ago and I have been mainlining your videos ever since. I was born and raised in NWO and we moved to north of Toronto when I was 17. I’ve missed it every single day of my life since and I can’t seem to get back often enough. Your videos give me a sense of calm and longing all at once and I want to thank you and Erin for every minute of content you put out. Your combined passions for the life and each other are inspirational. I am envious of you both, and until I can semi retire and get back to the north, I will patiently wait for your next video to get my fix. Thank you both! (Full disclosure - I copied and pasted this from another video - just in case you didn’t see it. Cheating, I know, but I had to do it😬)

My best friend and his friend slept in a Pup tent in the early 1970s up here in Timmins, in -40 degree temps. the only thing that saved them was their Woods top of the line sleeping bags and the outside camp fire, and oh the pot that they had to smoke, both weren't drinkers lol. Something that I would never do, I'm not that brave.

Jon you are going to love your new gear. I had the same tent and sled for quite awhile until I got sick but I gave them away to someone who could use them. Great stuff. One thing I did do was unzip the front and clipped a very clear plastic sheet in the opening so I could look out when I was in the tent. Looking forward to seeing more winter camping

Just discovered your channel last week. I am amazed..the trips you are taking, the awe inspiring landscapes are beyond description. Ineffable grandeur.....with a hint of loneliness. I watch every night and even occasionally think about the videos at times during the day. I have seen nothing else on line that comes close to the magnificent visual content, or your techniques of bringing the viewer along the trail, into the scenes and even into a sense of conversation. The only camping I do is motorcycle trips. This is all new. Very cool. Thank you for sharing.

The moose joust was awesome, we could only drream of getting to see that live. Interested to see how the new toboggin pulls in deeper snow with all that weight and if walking with snowshoes in front of it will cut enough of a path or if the smaller sled would have to go first. Great to see Erin out with you again! Thanks for sharing guys. Cheers, Rob & Sabrina
