NX350 gas model…I did have 1 glitch that happened only once since the new update. I started the car and my iPhone 15pro max connected but then I realized there was no sound at all in the car. I tried everything. Even “Hey Lexus” made no sound. Not even hazard sounds. Then I realized even the iPhone had no volume. So I tried shutting off the car and starting again. 3 times…no difference. So then I shut off both the car and the iPhone and only started the car. Success!!! Turned on the iPhone again and it connected. No problems after that. 🤷♂️

Did you try to reboot the iPhone before shutting off both the car and phone?
@TechJunky7777 ай бұрын
@@lsft Yes I did. No change until I turned them both off at the same time.

The fix to the slow head unit response from steering pad switches is huge if it does what I think it does. On mine and in many reviews I've seen online, you have to touch your fingers on the steering controls for a bit before they are registered, then you can press it down to register the button switch. What should be instantaneous now takes over a second to do.

I should try it and see if it's faster. I didn't feel an issue with my touch sensitive pads.

Hi and thank u for the great content. I've bought my 2023 NX350h about a year ago and have been having a horrible experience with Android auto and my Galaxy S22 ultra. The system keeps disconnecting from my phone while connected wirelessly and that almost always happens at the worst possible moment while navigating through a complex intersection or similar! I have to manually reboot the head unit to get the connection back. I was so excited to hear about the new update but was most disappointed when the same problem happened just minutes after I updated my car! This doesn't happen when I am connected by usb cable and it also doesn't happen when I am connected wirelessly to my daughter's car (2022 Kia Forte). I visited the dealer twice and they checked everything and had no answer for me. I guess I'll just use the wired interface when critical navigation is required. Thanks again for the great content and keep it going strong.

I've tried using my Pixel 6 Pro and 8 Pro and I do not have any issues with Android Auto wirelessly. Wired is definitely the best way to go if you need a reliable connection. Even with stable connections it's possible that interference can cause disconnections. Have you tried putting your phone in different locations? Did you work with the dealership to see if they can assist?

@AbdulmajeedElshawa7 ай бұрын
Hi @lsft and thank you for your reply. Your suggestion about interference is plausible but the frequency and random nature of the disconnections are quite baffling. It is annoying to note that this doesn't happen with my wife's iPhone 15.. works perfectly all the time and she can't stop teasing me about that 🥴. One thing I noticed when the disconnection happens: the Bluetooth connection would still be active but when I open the Bluetooth devices pages it shows the "use for Android Auto" toggle to be turned off!. Sometimes I can only switch that back on and the connection would be restored... I don't understand why would it turn off by itself and in such a random and frequent manner! I would appreciate any advice u can give me..🙏🙏

@@AbdulmajeedElshawa does it disconnect when your wife is in the car with her iPhone 15? What is your current setup? Both CarPlay and Android Auto are on?
@djsm17697 ай бұрын
@lsft my wife had oneplus 8T now she has s24+ and never had any disconnects issue. With old update and new OTA update still no discount, me and wife press power button then reset phone every couple of days to keep phone running smooth maybe that's preventing any issue. Even on my ioniq 5 me and my haven't had no issue . Try resetting phone every couple days power button then select reset.

Thank you for this good detailed report about the North American update. In Europe, our update was different. It also includes the 2050 update for the "HU" and "VP" modules, but it includes the specific 2001 update for the "VD" and the "VE" modules. I did not find the equivalent document that describes its detailed content, though. However, the most visible change on our side was obviously the new "Infos & security" settings menu, where 2 additional privacy settings have been added. The users have to approve the 2 new settings and these have to be synchronized with the Lexus account in the Toyota Cloud. Until the synchronization is not completed, the privacy statements have to be re-validated, and this synchronization has not worked properly for many users here... Several users could "force" the synchronization to occur (I did it successfully, by chance), but many others did a full "system reset" and had to re-enter all their settings (probably they did that "by default", just by lack of information from Lexus). Not a very nice situation and Lexus Europe, to which that issue was escalated, has not yet responded... Not a good point for Lexus...
@lsft7 ай бұрын
Definitely different updates, but the core HU and VP updates should be similar. The other modules must be region specific. Interesting to see how things are updated in different regions. I assume it's all the privacy rules in different markets.
@teawhyblack6437 ай бұрын
Hi Jean Marc, would you be so kind and share the how to "force" the new synchronisation, please? I would rather exhaust all options before proceeding with the full system reset. Thank you very much in advance.

@@teawhyblack643 Sure, however I have not yet received an official reply from Lexus following the escalation I had triggered several weeks ago... So, my experience is very empirical. I tried to "play" with Lexus Link+ and the connexion to the account, in conjunction to starting/stopping the car and validating the privacy options. In the end, I think that what worked for me was when I first disconnected from my account on Lexus Link+ while I was outside of the car (go to the "Account" tab, then click "Disconnect" on the upper right corner). Then I entered and started the car, validated the 2 privacy options and reconnected my account in Lexus Link+ afterwards, with the car still in Ready. I was also leaving some time between each action (just in case there was some network delay that would need to be taken into account). I have tried multiple sequences of the same type, with the same steps in different order (like disconnect/reconnect to the account in Lexus Link+ being outside or inside the car, or with the car being OFF or Ready, or validate the privacy options before of after disconnecting from the account...) and, in the end, it finally worked. Honestly, I am not 100% sure what exactly was THE right sequence, but for sure, the problem is definitively solved for me since then!

@@jean-marcdelbos2206 Thank you for the advice, unfortunately, I had to resort to a full reset. Luckily, you can leave the seat in your adjusted position and then trigger the linking process. Two more questions, if I may, for I believe you were a guest in one of LSFT's videos and are based in Europe, same as me, are you by any chance a user of Link+ app and if so, have you got the remote functions to work, please?
@jean-marcdelbos22067 ай бұрын
@@Lakaie25 Hi Lakaie, since I did the video with LSFT, the application has been upgraded to Lexus Link+ and I can say it is really much better, although still perfectible. Yes the remote functions work all fine now : charge monitoring and scheduling, remote air conditioning and scheduling, remote control of doors and trunk (open and lock), windows (close only), horn and hazard lights, position of the car, trips reporting with statistics (and you can download the trips since the latest update just a few weeks ago). All that is now working consistently. There is still one missing feature, you still can't plan an itinerary from the app... It was announced, but is not available in fact. Do you have issues with Lexus Link+ on your side ?
@djsm17697 ай бұрын
So far everything been good no issue with software or vehicle , only issue when charging with vehicle on or off with door lock then unlock doors to remove charging cord it stays charging it don't stop charging. I know you not supposed to remove charging cord when charging so I Manuel go into home charger app and disable charging. It only stop charging by itself after it's fully charged. Still have that issue. The new lexus update is much better to use then the old version. 2022 nx 450h+ caviar
@lsft7 ай бұрын
There is no problem to stop the charging when it is charging. I do that all the time. You just need to make sure you unlock the car and pull the plug quickly after it's unlocked. If you don't it will lock the charging cable again. Then you'll need to lock the door and unlock again.

That seems to be a known issue with the Europe update. Some folks were able to logout and setup everything again and it seem to work.
