About your comment on the effects of orgasm 'habituation', I think it can make sense for dopamine (seeking pleasure)... but in the case of oxytocin, it might help to remember the effect is a feeling of bonding (which I think can work probably well in a compounding effect with other non-sexual ways of inducing feelings of bonding. Also, I feel it is unlikely that one could get addicted to oxytocin because it responds to a more fundamental need than seeking various types of pleasure. In other words, it is likely that a person will naturally and intuitively know that 'they have enough oxytocin' and move on to other activities, because they know they feel safe).

what if your study was double blind, between individuals for the extent of how much oxytocin in any extent at all is increased?
