You should always use additional out rigger pads under those spider outriggers, especially on that lawn.I've seen a spider lift safety cut in due to a outrigger pad sinking slightly putting the spider out of level.. And a outrigger pad should be suitable for the weight of machine, & at least three times the square surface area of the spider outrigger pad,but this depends on soil conditions,you have different rules in the USA to the UK.

We just ran the pads that came with the machine. If it was wet we could always put down altura mats

@@DudeRanchDIY I wouldn't be feeling comfortable 60'- 80' up & relying on just the spider's outrigger pads for stability on any ground other than good solid concrete. There have been many accidents over the years where an outrigger has sunk, causing the cherry picker/spider lift to topple over & people usually killed.

Really cool lift! Love the way it unloads. Pricey piece of equipment though. You’d have to keep that thing busy every day to afford it. Beats the hell out of climbing any day! Found a used one for 85k. Ouch.

Dude ranch diy, resolder the main connection in the back of the gauges will fix all the dash gauges in the international trucks, there few videos on yt about it, really common in them trucks, I had do it to everyone I owned.

Nice lift guys 👍🏻. It's much bigger than the one I rent. The next time your up, can you do a 360° panoramic look out over the tree tops. I think 🤔 that would be great in a video.

I really want one of those lifts. The only thing I'd add is to make sure to paint those cut ends with a sealant. I see this all the time in the cutting, and I don't understand why. Treating the cut ends on a tree that is going to remain..... that's just protecting the tree from future rot. Trees don't heal over fast, so by leaving those cuts open like is standard practice, just means that we've created a new wound that's closer to the trunk. In other words, we've sped up the demise of the tree. In the orchard/hort world, treating a cut is pretty common practice. I know it adds time and expense, but....

Painting/Treating cuts on mature hardwood trees is not a recommended practice.

@@DudeRanchDIY Really? Why? They heal over very slow, which means that cut is just an open wound ready for an infection to set in. What changes between a young tree and an old tree that you'd not want to protect the cut?

@threeriversforge1997 If you consider the lifespan of a mature hardwood tree they heal over relatively quickly. Painting cuts with “wound protector” has actually proven to impede the natural healing process of a tree, seal in moisture and decay, and attract insects. Ornamental and fruit trees can at times be different but young or old painting cuts is not common practice anymore. The only time I’ve been instructed to paint a cut was while working at Augusta National golf course and we painted the cuts so cameras wouldn’t pick them up and mistake them for flying golf balls.

Not a secret, just didn’t film it. Had to close a diverted valve so the sucked controls on the base could be used to free him up.

Lol it was too… large… it kept hitting the dashboard when I’d go to dump not giving me full throw of the valve. Tried mounting it on the actual shifter but couldn’t get the OEM knob off.
