my favorite scene is the trashing of the bar. it is so symbolic and i found myself getting emotional. the way ste pulled brendan from that dark space in his mind really show why brendan needs him. the music in the background, i mean this scene to me sums up their relationship, the pain, anguish and just being free. for once i think they are just truly happy.

When Brendan grab Ste to give him that kiss in the bar, i thought he was going to break him in two, with the force he grabbed him with. I also kind of wished Brendan had told his dad before he died that he screwed Ste in his pub, that would have given him a heart attack straight away and Cheryl wouldn't have had to kill him. But it's the name of the game and Emmett wanted out.

After listening to that song again, I realised the song selection for the beginning of the relationship this time wasn't accidental. The fact that they're together here doesn't mean it's all forgiven and forgotten. "They say I love you yeah, they say I always will....but these wounds they won't heal". In the song the singer doesn't deny or confirm if "they" are right or wrong. Yeah, I may or may not love you still, I may or may not always will but one thing's for certain, right at this moment it doesn't feel like these wounds will ever heal. Everything Brendan put Ste through is still raw but he wants him, he loves him and he's willing to really go for it but he's still afraid (that's normal), he has doubts and his trust is still broken. You really see that when he wakes up and doesn't see Brendan, he thinks Brendan's done it again, done a runner, woke up a different person, everything he said to him last night didn't matter. It's like when Brendan first told Ste he loved him, slept with him and then denied him to Eileen and everything really started to crumble there, the same song played there that played when he told him he loved him the second time in Dublin. Ste decided he wasn't going to be that easy for Brendan to pick up and throw away anymore then no matter how much he wanted him. He was hurt and angry. So, he's not completely trusting of Brendan with anything really. He woke up unsure, not secured in their relationship until Brendan walked in and he was reassured which is a step toward slowly building their relationship. I just realised that this song was a set up for their relationship and what was to come. Which explains why he doubted Brendan. Maybe a part of him wanted to stand completely with him and his instincts knew Brendan was innocent but he wasn't sure he could trust himself when it came to Brendan because his instincts had been wrong before and it was like constantly reopening that wound, leaving it raw and bleeding, when he saw Kevin and when Brendan punched him again toward the end. And of course, let's not forget Brendan's wounds that led him to not being sure he could trust Ste at times because of his past, his pain and his paranoia. I think it would take a verrrrry long time before either of them would really trust each other. It would have definitely been a journey before that open wound became sutured. Just my opinion, just thought about this after watching this episode for the umpteenth time. It's a beautiful story. And one that will surely live on forever, if only in our hearts. Or maybe someday on our screens again if we're so lucky.

What a beautifl episode. From the waking together, to seeing the sights, to Cheryl welcoming them home...they really have changed. But bar none, the most beautiful part was when Brendan allowed Ste to help release him from the chains of his past, in his father''s pub...cried tears of sadness for Brendan's pain, fear, humiliation, and shame as a boy, and tears of joy for how Ste's love is healing that.

Yes, well, I've watched for many hours and invested a lot of emotional energy into Ste & Brendan finally getting together, and now Dad comes into the picture and I can tell that they're not going to be allowed any happiness ... I feel we are going to be robbed of what should have been many happy episodes of Brendan and Ste just enjoying being in love. Why do Soaps have to do that?? Why can't they give them at least a few months, or even just a few weeks, of happiness together? Seems like everything has to be about anguish, turmoil and violence, when all we want is some domestic bliss for a change.

The perfect episode. Where do I begin? Brendan looking down at Ste in bed, the look of relief and gratitude on his face. The two of them being alone in a crowd, Brendan pulling back Ste from the bus. Brendan showing Ste where he grew up and hence letting him in on his past, telling him one of the most disturbing childhood memories and Ste being able to pull him through it by messing up the bar. The two of them coming back to 'Oaks as one. The look of utter relief and bliss on Brendan's face.

They couldn't look more in love with each other if they tried. omg. First, how sweet was Brendan watching Ste sleep! Second "I'm your man"...I could watch that part everyday for the rest of my life!! I loved the pub scene and seeing Ste be that anchor for Brendan. Ste never had as much passion for anyone as much as he did with Brendan. I’ve watched all the relationships Ste’s had up to the current time, and rewatching Stendan made me realize that Ste’s soulmate, really is Brendan. Even now. I think they should have Emmet return for a few weeks to film, so that he can just take Ste away and have them be happy in Dublin, or wherever else they would be happy at. Because I’m tired of seeing all these failed relationships just because Ste’s soulmate was always Brendan. HO, please end game Ste with Brendan.

it’s really sad because this was the first time brendan was able to open up to ste. i think if brendan had time he would be able to move past what seamus did and would have even told ste about it but that’s the tragedy. it was never the right time. he only experienced mere hours of happiness before seamus rocks back into his life to dismantle it all and UGH it’s just so sad!!! stendan deserved their happy ever after.
