It's genuinely entertaining watching how fast the warm-ups fly up.

Please Eric I have a question, do you always drop the bar at the top or do you sometimes performs the negative part of the deadlift? Is there any benefit on making a controlled negative? Im talking on trainnig sessions, not on competition.
@christianolsen78348 жыл бұрын
I'm just here to see the answer :)
@gamingdeadlifter18168 жыл бұрын
A controlled negative is unnecessary risk for injury...especially those top sets

What are your goals for the next meet in April? 2400 lbs no wraps?

Lockout looks a little different than usual. Anything new or am I just an idiot?
@EricLilliebridge8 жыл бұрын
Nah just felt a little off pulling from the floor with a belt again. Haven't in 2 months. I think it'll feel a lot better next heavy session. If you've ever taken a couple months off from not wearing a belt, it feels weird putting it back on after that much time off from it. Trying to find my sweet spot was difficult.

Eric Lilliebridge Ah I gotcha. Looking strong though man. Good luck at the meet coming up!

Hey Eric, I have a question; When you set up, on the first two dips you really pull the tension out of the bar, bending it up. But on the final dip you pull the tension, but then seem to release it before committing to the pull (The bar bends but then unbends). Is there any reason for this?

Haven't pulled off the floor or used a belt in over 2 months, gained about 10 pounds in the past 4 weeks. Leverages have changed.

@EricLilliebridge8 жыл бұрын
He's done 881 in belt and wraps in training, 843 in competition. He's benched 550 in the gym and 529 in competition, and he's deadlifted 800 in the gym and 777 in competition.

@EricLilliebridge8 жыл бұрын
+aoverhol1028 Yeah I saw it. Wonder what he could actually pull with a mixed gripped without straps. I never see him pull without them anymore. It's a shame
@samkee38593 жыл бұрын
@@EricLilliebridge true, no point pulling with straps if you don't have matching grip strength, same for people who don't pause their bench in training if they can't match it in competition there is no point
