I always try to remember one of the moves when I grapple but there's just too many to recall and I always end up getting choked out before I could pull off one. lol

Aye, remember to keep your elbows as close as possible or keep a grip on his gi. It will reduce the chance of getting choked out when trying moves like this. Timing is the key factor.

Jd Sanz eventually you wont have to "remember" your body will just flow there. You have to drill and drill these over and over until instinct takes control.

I am always impressed by Jason's videos. I love the way you can use this type of video to list out the different options you may have. In this case it allows me to have a checklist of all the armbars/armlocks that are available. its really cool!

I'm definitely going to have to incorporate this into my training. Right now my husband and I are working strictly on guard passes for the next month or so. Maybe December will be all about armbars.

I love your video style. How you do SEVERAL things in a short period. I have to watch 20 videos to get the moves that you do in one. I wouldn't call it helpful for "learning" the techniques but for building on them... wow your videos... what a resource. Thank you.

I like to arm bar my training partners when they least expect it. While they're sitting on the toilet, just pop up, hip out, and extend.

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!! BJJ has been very difficult for me to learn. I seem to absorb better/faster when taught at a faster pace..maybe because of the fluidity, not sure. I haven't had the courage to tell my instructor that i'm having a hard time learning because of how slow the pace is without coming across as an arrogant prick but this helps out so much.

It works . Alot of situations you mentioned have worked for me ( specially the belly down armbar , the armbar when under a side control and the cross leg armbar )

Like the variation! There are a few that I think would be a little too risky sometimes (such as from the pit stop) but there are a couple I didn't know in here!

No because an arm crush is just putting enough pressure on the forearm to take them tap (because of pain). The arm bar is attacking the joint.

There is a function under "Settings" (the gear icon) that allows you to playback at 1/4 and 1/2 speeds. That's what I did instead of hopelessly rewinding to the wrong spot. It's actually pretty funny just to listen to him talk at half-speed!
