And then I started watching so many cozy gamers on KZbin and I said, why not! I just received it today and I have had a wonderful time setting it up and purchasing a few new games - I need a bit more "fun" in my life & I think this is only the beginning! I am with a few other of your subscribers - Lego kits, Reading, Journaling, Etc are all excellent ways to wind down and give ourselves some self care! ❤

I'm with you, I'm 40 and I enjoy gaming, kpop and my new obsession is building Lego. I've never had more fun with my hobbies than I have now. Cozy games have been such a comforting thing to me, I only wish I started gaming earlier but I actually started during the pandemic. I would see everybody play Animal Crossings and I wanted to play too. I had no idea this kind of games existed, I thought video games were about fighting and platforming and demanded skills that I do not have. Cozy games were a whole new world opening to me. I used to be bit ashamed of some of my hobbies due to my age, but not anymore, that's one of the great thing about aging, you start to care less about people's opinion and focus on what makes you happy:)

How wonderful it is that you discovered gaming during the pandemic. If I'm being honest, it wasn't until 2020 that I got more into indie games myself. Until then I had only played well known games. Indie games have opened a new world to me. I hope you discover many new games 🤗 As for hobbies in general I'd love to start pottery and get back into painting 🎨

New subscriber here! I just turned 40, and have always loved playing video games. I LOVE cozy gaming, and have been playing more and more over the past year. It's become one of my go-to hobbies! I've picked up more cozy hobbies this year than I've ever had before. I'm loving it!

random click of yt suggestion, got very positive feeling from video, thank you! we are the generation who was there, building foundation of gaming, just by playing those dear evergreen classics.. it was not for sport, it was not for money, it was not to show you're best.. but it was for relax and pure fun (except when siblings were crying next to you, when is their turn to play.. ; ) .. i feel we have forgotten some parts of that fun, because other priorities came around.. we are often aiming somewhere while playing.. it makes it more serious.. and it's kinda sad. I'm happy that Cozy gaming, idea of it, is spreading around. It gives more space for player as an person and brings back fun for gaming! Have fun with Games! ^^ (quick game recommendation: FFXIV)

I'm so happy that yt recommended you to me, i'm not old at all by any chance and still in my late 20's but i have convinced myself many times that i'm too old for things or why start now when i'm at my age. Watching this video reminded me that i'm not in a race, that yes content creation and art is my passion and that I can start now, who's to say that i can't start now but myself. Thank you for that

There are *thousands* of tiny channels that produce absolute banger videos despite only getting miniscule views. While some of it might be the youtube algorithm to blame, most of it is simply the nature of things. You're effectively competing against many thousands of channels for attention, even in just the gaming field. But that's certainly no reason to be discouraged. It might take a long time, but with the quality of content i've seen from this video alone, it's simply a matter of time before the channel gains more traction. Persevere (within comfortable limits, don't put everything on the line just to go ham at youtube) and at the very least you'll have a community of loyal followers that will do all your biddi...... provide consistent views and engagement. You got this.

I am so with you. I grew up with video games. We pulled out the ColecoVision with its Atari converter and played games as a family when I was little. I used to play Nintendo and SNES with my cool older brother (which consisted of me dying, him getting frustrated, and watching him play for hours 😅). My mom bought an N64 for the family, and we all spent hours sitting around the TV cheering each other on. A boyfriend introduced me to PC gaming with Diablo II. When I left my childhood home as a teenager, playing my GBA while I lived in my big bros basement was a big source of comfort for me. I got to know coworkers at my first job when we played Halo together. My hubby of 18 years and I play couch co-op games together all the time. But, I get a lot of stigma from people about being a grown ass woman who plays video games. I get all the, "but it's such a waste of time," "Aren't video games for kids?" "It's so immature to play video games." But my dudes, I've played them my whole life. I'm not about to stop now. 🤷‍♀️ Then, there is the content sphere side of things you talk about here. I do different content than you, but I totally feel what you are saying. I started sharing about my love of books back in 2019 with a blog. Then, I branched out onto KZbin and Instagram and gradually other platforms, too. I don't have a massive audience on any platform, but I didn’t start it for the numbers. I started it so I could connect with like-minded people. And I have! It's amazing. But like you, I've suffered some imposter syndrome too because of my age. I have also thought what happens when I am "too old for social media?" Which is dumb, I know. Because age shouldn't matter. But it's there, in the back of my head. A fun little existential crisis just waiting for me. I love that you posted this to address that! You are such an inspiration for me! It's so good to see a fellow gamer, a fellow woman, who is close in age with me, pursuing what you love.

This really spoke to me. I'm gonna be 35 this year and I love gaming. I'm married to another gamer and we live a blessed and nerdy life. We're judged alot because of it and neither of us understand it. My husband has an amazing job and we clean and pay bills and have other hobbies as well, just like everyone else. I think having a partner who enjoys the same hobbies as you is beautiful and should be celebrated. Not everyone's hobbies make sense from an outside perspective. I try not to let people's opinions cloud my loves or change my views. There are people that hate-watch. Let them.
