Oh, I definitely caught a couple of darker references in there. The Stinky Cheese and the “Addicted Mice” are references for drugs, as Monty’s life fell apart after becoming addicted to the stinky cheese… Not to mention, when Chip and Dale are disguised as plumbers at some point, there’s this pig that says “I get the kids on the weekends, but it’s not the same.” Like y’all really put divorce in there 😭😭

Who Framed Roger Rabbit is still one of my favorite films, its a goofy detective movie parody that seamlessly blends cartoons and live-action, so this film finally scratched that itch that I've had for so long. It was so amazing to see how well it all came together, and how they went the extra mile to not just include 2d characters, but 3d and stop motion characters as well.

@@thefantasticretroreviewer3941 here some history; in 2019 a trailer for the first Sonic movie was published on KZbin and when people saw it, they were loathing the hell out of it. The design of Sonic (the ugly one/manhog) was unpleasant to look at and extremely uncanny. You can look up pictures of that design and compare it to the redesign of Sonic. It’s night and day. Back on topic, the trailer was so hated that Paramount actually had to delay the movie to Valentine’s Day 2020 and redesign Sonic into what we see now. A design that’s more like the games. It made Sonic fans pleased and happy. Because of that the first movie became a success which confirmed a sequel in the works. 2 years later (this year 2022), Sonic the Hedgehog 2 released in theaters on April 8th and fans loved the sequel thus making it another success in the box office. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is confirmed and only time will tell when they announce the production of the film.

I got to see this Movie a week ahead in theaters with the Disney fan club and OMG I can tell you right now it was the most gratifying feeling to be in a crowd full of people who were cracking up at all the references in this. This movie reminds me of The Amazing World of Gumball because of the mix of various animation styles. Like 2D, CG, stop motion/claymation, sock puppets, etc.

Ngl, i started crying watching the cameos. Haven't seen the movie yet but man, growing up from the year 2000 and seeing all these characters again got to me. It feels like decades ago. 😭 22 now and 5 months, 22 days old. Its a god send to see my childhood again. Especially the fact that the company that made the movie STILL remembers the past. All the amazing memories.

Damn I actually loved this movie , never even heard of chip n dale before this but I loved the social commentary on animation in Hollywood and animation in general, it was handled really well . CGI surgery is hilarious

I loved the old show, but was not gonna watch this until your convincing review. I absolutely loved it. Especially Allen Oppenheimer reprising Skeletor. So good. Clever and hilarious film. Thanks for pushing me to give it a chance.

As a guy that grew up on Disney Afrernoon I adored this. My favorite cameo was the last one and the one I was waiting for the entire movie when good old Drake Mallard/Darkwing Duck showed up.
