Lot's of exciting DC stuff is coming and I think both James' and Gunn's projects will be new and interesting. This is the DC Renaissance and I see no reason to be super sad. I want Joker and Riddler to have their own side story where they don’t interact with Batman but they cause trouble, maybe blackmail other villains or mess with Dent to create 2face, or foil Batman’s investigation or even foil other villains plans. And then their side story goes throughout the trilogy or saga and they end up as his final villains. I love when Joker makes a deal with other villains to get Batman but then he turns on the villain.

This reminds me a little of when Zack Snyder's daughter sadly passed from "self-inflicted" injuries (I won't say the word), which made him step away in the middle of the DCEU. WB then kicked the man out, brought in a marvel director, and the rest is history as we know. I think it's best we take this more seriously and let Reeves take the time he needs. I would rather see a project pushed back in its release date, from his original POV than something the studio forced him to change to make sure the Batman comes out on time. That is if indeed this limbo period is due to a "personal" thing like divorce.

Definitely feels like the Matt Reeves' Batman films are going towards a Court of Owls storyline. I can see them being set up in Batman 2 and then the focus of Batman 3 but I think it will be a fun and fascinating thing to see on the big screen. We've had The Court of Owls in Gotham but I think that they never truly reached their full potential. As for the villain of Batman 2 I think I'd love to see them do both Scarecrow & Mr. Freeze in the same film as pair them up with Bruce and have all three be at odds then I think you've got room for a truly heartfelt story about loss and grief for Bruce & Freeze with the fear gas giving a visual manifestation of their grief. Though I think it's more likely that they do a more realistic and grounded villain like Hush or Professor Pyg.

I’m thinking that Hush will be a side villain who is hired by the CoO. I think there will be a fighting seen where Robert Pattinson finds that he truly is mortal. I think we will find a near death scene where he finds terror is someone. In the first movie he walked past bullets and could easily beat everyone up. I think the next one it’s either going to be hush beating him to where hush thinks he’s dead or the court of owls will beat him up and bring him to their room where Batman is maybe a pawn for them for a bit. But you also know there will be some detective work so I think he will find out something about the court of owls until he’s almost got them and that’s when he is being watched and gets attacked and mugged and dragged to their lair.

Hatter can be a dark villain, and personally, I think he would work well in Reeve's Batman universe. The Clayface movie got confirmed on December 13 and now the Batman got delayed. I think that Clayface was supposed to be the villain for The Batman part 2 but after they greenlit the movie for Mike Flanagan version of the character, they had to scrap the script to avoid confusion, thus why Matt Reeves and James Gunn saying they don’t have a script yet. Plus, the Clayface movie was supposed to come out right before The Batman 2 so it kinda makes sense.

There's one big bad villain whose sort of a side villain but still the face of the movie (in decision between Scarecrow and Hush, likely now Scarecrow). Then theres court of owls, mad hatter, Penguin, and Ventriloquist. Jokers going to be having recurring Hannibal scenes. For 3 it's two face and the Owls, alongside Hush if hes not used in part 2. There's a plot line where Arkham has a breakout, and in the chaos Scarecrows drugs mess with Dents mind and he becomes two face. Ultimately 2 is Batman learning he's doing a lot of bad for the villains, and Arkham is a big plot line. All of the characters have reinvented stories and ways they go about things. By 3 though we'll see the Batman, Bruce, and some more comic accurate stuff. It's the evolution, and more than anything like the horse on fire trend in which all three entries are fire. Lowkey gonna be the best Trilogy ever made.

I would like Harvey Dent to be in The Batman part 2. Not necessarily as Two Face yet, but Harvey gets caught up with the Court of Owls while looking into corruption, and maybe that’s how he makes his way up to the DA position. But I do think Two Face would make a good villain for a young Batman who is still trying to find the balance between what’s right and wrong. After getting scarred, Harvey would become disillusioned with the justice system and struggle with right vs wrong himself. And I would love to see him then break everyone out of Arkham.

Lol Pattinson was 36 in the first film, and he pulled off playing Year 2 Batman with ease. I doubt that he’ll look substantially older at 42 for the 2027-release of the sequel (and he won’t even be that old as the sequel’s being filmed, obviously). Nor is it guaranteed that the third film’ll take another 3-5 years to make. AND even if it does, the screenwriters are allowed to tweak the story as needed to compensate. It would be foolish to recast solely because of age

I really hope they don’t merge the universes. But I do have a fear that the Batman Part II might be the last chapter of this universe, and that they might cancel a potential part 3. With the movie being pushed to 2027 now, I don’t think it’s impossible to see a Penguin season 2 (or another show) in between to hold us over - and things fully conclude in the new movie.

I was excited for this movie after "The Penguin". Now I don't care if it gets cancelled.Five and a half years between movies is ridiculous unless you're James Cameron.Remember it took 5 years from being hired for "The Batman" in February 2017.
