3D Acrylic Bouquet - Striped Effect Designer Nails Part 2

Hey, guys. So, in today's video, we are going to finish off my absolutely GORGEOUS striped and flower nails set. I have a gammy eye today because my hayfever has flared up and heavily affected my eye.
However, we're here to talk about and design nails. Not chat about eyes. So, this is my favourite part of any design. The part where we add BLING! OMG! As you know from my previous videos, I absolute adore BLING and I think that a nail looks plain without it.
We are also going to be using UV Gels in order to design the flower buds for my design which we are then going to adhere to the nails. This is a fun part because we get to mould the gels and roll them around to create the perfect flower buds.

Tarmac? I guess what we call Asphalt (tar mixed with rocks and sand) probably exactly the same over there. Yeah here in the south of the US the oil from the asphalt will start to glisten and your shoes will get stuck or you track it inside and leave black marks on the floors.

I really like this design, just wish we could have watched you add the bling! I live in northern California, one of the hotter parts of the US (it's going to be 40C this afternoon) and we have (mostly) asphalt roads here, what you call tarmac. I think our asphalt has a different formula, however. Sometimes the asphalt they use to patch our streets and roads does get soft in the hottest weather, parking lots (car parks) seem to have more issues with getting soft in hot weather. I think that happens because it's not properly packed down with the big road rollers. (They used to be called "steam rollers," but since they aren't steam engines anymore...) I just wanted to let you know that most roads in the US are not concrete, even in hot places. Freeways do tend to be concrete, but even those aren't usually all concrete. The shoulders and non-elevated sections are usually asphalt. We do like concrete roads, but they are more expensive to build. They are very smooth and aren't as hard on tires in hot weather as the rocky asphalt roads are. Concrete roadways have to have channels cut into them so that rainwater drains away almost instantly and there is little danger of hydroplaning. But there is a new kind of concrete they are calling "thirsty concrete" that is porous and allows water to run right through it at an astounding rate, but I don't know when they will start making roadways out of it. So, that's the truth about American roadways and the heat.

KRISTY!, YES we actually Do have tar in our roads and parking lots ! Hehehe And yesterday here in Florida i took the temp at the parking lot and got 130f coming off of the tar black parking lot! The temp was 102f, heat index had it at 111f... but it felt much hotter! And August is our HOTTEST month here... So at OVER 100f(average) ,we havent yet begun to BAKE! LOL WE share temps with Texas and a couple of other States, but what we have that UNIQUE to Fl is about 200% humidity. So its like being in a hot tub of water and breathing it IN!

I live in northern California, and our temps are often higher than yours in Florida, but we don't have the humidity you guys have so it feels more comfortable. The daily national high temperature is often Redding, CA, just 100 miles north of me. Our humidity is usually about 20%, a bit higher at night. I remember when my grandfather took me to Miami in July way back in 1970. I was shocked by the fact that the windows fogged up on the _outside!_ That NEVER happens here! Our (single glazed) windows only fog up on the _inside_ in winter! But you guys get a lot of rain in summer, and we usually don't get any rain from May to October, and if we do, it's just a light sprinkle, not the torrential tropical downpours you guys get in Florida. One night when we were there it rained *5 inches* just while we were eating dinner! Our cabbie had to drive up onto the sidewalk to keep us from having to *wade* into the street to get to the cab! It was crazy! I was only eight years old, but I still remember the crazy weather there like it was yesterday. Miami is the only place I've ever seen fireworks shot off in the rain, too.

I love watching your channel. It’s unbelievable relaxing. I can’t stop. I’m going to have to scour my area to find a nail artist like you. In America we have tarmac at airports concrete for shopping centers where pedestrians walk but asphalt where you drive. Asphalt is a combo of....well stuff that doesn’t melt but it does expand and contract so in places like the Midwest where it gets very hot and very cold they constantly have to repave roads. Tada!!! A lesson on American roadways. I didn’t know UK’s roads were made of tarmac. Very interesting.

In hick towns like where I live, we tar and chip roads. Takes lovely paintwork on your car and turns in into orange peel, all those dimple like paint chips look great! Plus, in summer, as the tar isn't totally covered you get it all over your shoes, your car floors and if you don't know you've got melted tar on your shoes, you walk into your house too! I miss the concrete roads in France, they never melt, or chip your car paintwork! Lol!

118 F here over the weekend of the 7th. We use tarmac here too, but it's referred to as asphalt. They can lay a road fairly fast using a specialized machine....and then like all government projects come right behind and dig holes in it for projects they forgot to do before they laid the road! Hope your eye gets better.

I live in Az, it’s a high of 106 today. A mild summer day for us. Our streets are paved with the tar stuff, sidewalks are concrete. When it gets too hot they have to shut down the airport so the weight of the planes don’t wear grooves into the runway. The record high for us has been 122F.

Most of the time it is jealousy but in my opinion nail design is art and it is preference, same as not everbody likes a Van Gogh or a Warhol....not everybody likes this design. Including me, I still didn't gave a thumbs down because that vintage nail with those roses I find (not IS, that's sounding dogmatic). gorgeous and I've learned só much from Kirsty being a gel girl myself.

Hey Kirsty, beautiful nails. Probably my favourite I’ve seen you do. Would you be able to do a video on the best ways to train as a nail technician in the UK, what to look for in a course, how much is too much to pay? I’ve seen courses which are anywhere between hundreds and thousands is all. Or it worth self teaching from videos, and what would be the best things to purchase for a starter pack for beginners wanting to try out doing acrylic or gel nails? I was allergic to my mother's cat and I swear it only threw it's hair in one eye. I would be there for about an hour and finally my eye was so swollen I would have to leave. Every time I went over. Without fail , one swollen and sticky eye. Made driving home fun.
