AccuRig is a powerful plugin and is much more accurate by Mixamo, but regarding the facial animation (eyes and mouth) you haven't found a solution yet?

There is a check box at the bottom of the export menu if you are doing FBX to unreal or something. To get your model subD-ed just select it in scene view, far right icon lets you view it as sub divided or tessellated with some options. Just put it in the level of detail you want then remember to flip on that check box when you go to export. Thats what worked for me.

This is looking very promising. On another note has anyone successfully gotten a CC3 or CC4 character rigged properly for Unity UMA? Be amazing if anyone has any pointers for that
@SuperMontana20082 жыл бұрын
So accurig inside CC4 is more advanced? or are they same tools?
@aeddychau56902 жыл бұрын
Both of these auto-rig tools use AccuRIG technology, but CC AccuRIG has some extra features such as the ability to select meshes for skin weight binding, and meshes that are not selected will automatically be converted into accessories and then automatically attached to the character skeleton.

how do I import a custom character like that and then import a robe for it? CC4 will not let me do that because it wont transfer skin weights from my character to the robe. Please help
@aeddychau56902 жыл бұрын
Humanoid character (Custom character) cannot use the Transfer Skin Weights feature. The robe in the video should be an accessory and then import a Weight Map to simulate the physical effects.

Ah this must be it, for humanoids. Thanks I will take a look at this but does not seem to have a way to add like accessory bones such as gas shock or piston joints. (Even just cosmetic ones)
@aeddychau56902 жыл бұрын
It means add the extra bones to the character? Or add bones for accessory?
@Shinjitsu_842 жыл бұрын
@@aeddychau5690 I would like to be able to do either. I need extra bones for machinery pivots and I cannot find any tutorial on how to do with like Reallusions Raptoid character. I would like to keep the character humanoid to be able to use accurigs animation library but need to add bones in the neck and back of heel for some extra accessory parts. Items like gas/shock/pistons that could look good with "look at" or pointing attributes. A piston needs two connections at two different bones on the main humanoid rig. I know how to do in Maya just want to know how its possible inside of CC4 like they did with the Raptoid model.
@aeddychau56902 жыл бұрын
@@Shinjitsu_84 No, but you can use AccuRIG to bind your character's skeleton first, then export it to Maya to add extra bones, and then import it to CC for bone mapping. So that your character will still be Humanoid. You can search for a tutorial video called “Characterizing Humanoid Characters”.

sweet! Apart from being within CC4 does this 'advanced' accurig differ from the standalone one released a couple weeks back?
@aeddychau56902 жыл бұрын
It seems that both auto-rig tools use AccuRIG technology, so the results should be the same. But in the CC's AccuRIG, we can select the body mesh to bind the skeleton. It should be more accurate...?
