Correction on our part, the kids shot 5 arrows at each target to complete 6 rounds which would add up to a perfect score of 300. In an outdoor 3D shoot they would shoot 1 arrow at 30 different targets. The kids did great and we are very proud of their discipline and effort in archery!

I always enjoy your videos and seeing the way your son smiled hearing you tell about his great shooting, but as you did, I saw the smile melt away on your daughter's face. I was expecting you to mention something about her efforts. I know you love her too. I just hope you've assured her of the importance of her efforts and hope for her similar successes. I know about this first hand from I was a kid. I know you have plenty to do around your farm, but we enjoy seeing your efforts and successes as well as your failures. Keep going. You're doing good work.

Sorry, we did not know what Daphne's score was until the scores were published later in the day (188 this time). She was not reporting her score after each flight to us so we could add them all up. Also, we did not get the mommy daughter hug on video but it did happen. Another thing we did point out... Daphne is using the same bow that all the kids use and she is probably the smallest kid out there. Last year she could barely hold up the same bow and had to use one of the smaller mini bows (which is not allowed in the NASP tournaments). Now, she has been placing in the top 5 in the elementary kids and we fully expect her to get better and better because of her competitive nature. We think she's doing amazing! Thanks for watching!

I love shooting my bow! It's kind of like..."give a person a fish, they eat and are happy that meal, but teach a person to fish and they eat and are happy for life" it's a fun sport but it has the potential to feed a family as well! Great job kiddos!! Thanks for sharing Chick-a-Woof gang!! Smiles and blessings...

Yep. We are working up to game hunting. Lucas will most likely be doing some turkey hunting in the fall of 2019. He could have gone this past year but we wanted to make sure his skills were high enough to make a clean and ethical harvest. Thanks for stopping by we really appreciate it!

yep! We were at a public archery tournament last year and there was a team comprised of son father and grandfather. Almost anyone can shoot and do well with a little practice. Thanks for watching!

My son, Cord Cooper, in 2020 was 5th grader from Payson, Az who placed 2nd in the State of Az in this same type of 3D competition for the NASP. If anyone has any footage from this championship please send to me. Or from Ben Avery competitions please.

Sounds like a great opportunity to checking into getting one started! In our small town I would guess that at least a 1/3 of the students have been on the team for at least 1 year with about half of those being on the team from grade school all the way through high school. Good luck!!!
