That was great! That sweet boy swallowed those right down! I am also in total agreement in handling the dogs. There has to be a balance or the dog is basically being cheated out of something he’s entitled to; some sweet lovin! 😊

This might sound crazy but I think he knows the pills are helping with his injury. He is such a sweet boy though... Thanks!

Wow!!! You are right - Cherokee does look just like our Betsy. Is he a Karakachan? Subbed and rang that bell to follow along with you!! - Rick

We were told he was great pyr and mastiff mix. We’ve always doubted the mastiff part. We would like to get him genetically tested cause he is absolutely hands down the best dog we’ve ever had. Thank you so much for pointing us towards the karakachan breed!

IMPRESSIVE! I'll have to try that with Molly our GP, you make it look so easy! Molly is 11 months and eating is very difficult - she is so picky. I gave her 2 chicken breasts, she hadn't eaten in 2 days... she would lick them but not eat them, it was almost as if they were her friends! She is an inside out side girl, we have alpaca and fainting goats, she id wonderfully until my daughter, 14 YO, wasn't paying attention and she decided it was fun to chase and bark at them. We have a cat who Molly loves, but all of a sudden she will get ugly and try to hurt her. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, do know I am boss until she decides to resource guard. Wish my little girl was more like yours... Keep up the great work and LGD series, I love them! Blessings.

Our girl (Cheyenne) is very picky with her food... if you don't do it just right she will reject the food and let the others gobble it down. She has gotten a little better with time but it's a struggle for sure. The 1 to 2 year old age is the most difficult (in my opinion). They are trying to figure out what their job is so just try to do everything the same way everytime. Routine is the key for success. Hang in there!

That was no trick, Wendy, that doggy's totally cooperative-"trained." He has y'all fooled, but it was still good to see you an' the dogs again!

Good dog, Cherokee! Those are supposed to be taken on a full stomach follows advice to take them on a full stomach! Right, Mom? LOL This info is really helpful! He's in the routine and gets to eat with his pills :) Benny the-couch-protector was there. He looks kinda small next to Cherokee. These dogs are HUGE! lol Cute dogs!!!

Great video. Love all your videos with your LGD’s. Curious, What do you give your dogs for flea&tick control? Any advice on how to keep bugs, fleas and mosquitoes off the dogs during the Summer? Or you can just make a video on it if you want, that would be great. TIA

We use the pour on flea and tick medicine (Frontline). Some people say it doesn't work any more but we think it works fine. We only use it if they are showing signs of itching or if we see ticks on them. The less chemicals the better. We probably only apply 2-3 times per year. The chickens and ducks do a great job keeping the ticks at bay. Thanks for watching! Hope that helps!
