I just did one at 200% and had 4 pieces to break. The Frame chest female connector broke while trying to add the head, and 3 of the knee elbow connectors broke while trying to connect one of the knees. The parts that broke were all printed using PETG. I used Glow in the dark PLA for the armor bits. I will use my heat gun on the replacement parts. Thanks for the advice. Cheers!

Am I crazy trying to print this in 1250% scale. I want it to be my size ^^
@MrCampbellPrints5 ай бұрын
Not crazy , you will be a pioneer lol. The reason i didn't go past 750 as my p1s couldn't hold anything bigger in one piece if i had a printer with a larger build volume I definitely would go bigger, but if yiu want to maintain strength I would suggest trying not to slice parts and having to rejoin them with glue etc later, if that dose t bother you and it purely a size thing than even on a average build volume print you could go to probably 1600 - 1800 hundred comfortably before part placement becomes an issue
@sebastianclaes-sw6ed5 ай бұрын
@MrCampbellPrints I will keep you updated. I have some really big printers like the Elegoo Neptune 4 Max. Therefore I will be able to print it that big. I even found a modified chest frame piece, that was especially designed for large scale. (I posted the link in this comment but it seems like the comment was deleted automatically becuase of the external link) This project will take some time but eventually I will upload a video of it and come here again to notify you all :) I have a cooperation with a local business and my plan is to put this in his store. This will definitely attract lots of new customers.

@andrewhofmann54532 ай бұрын
That's usually how I do it, but for good measure once you resize, each slicer usually has a tape measure/ruler, check your size constraints at various points to make sure you have good fitment.

How do you deal with the loose joints after a while
@MrCampbellPrints8 ай бұрын
You can add a thin lay of Super glue or equivalent and let it dry and keep adding layers
@k4rz3n8 ай бұрын
@@MrCampbellPrints thanks for the tip🔥
@wcbyrdiv8 ай бұрын
If you use super glue, you have to either disassemble it before applying the glue, or apply it to the joint and keep wiggling the joint until it is completely dry, which takes longer than you think. The better solution is pledge floor wax. You just drop a few drops into the joint while it is still assembled. wiggle the joint to spread it and then let it sit for about 2-3 hours to dry. If its still loose, apply again. Because its not adhesive, you never have to worry about the joint seizing up.... Old trick learned from the Star Wars figures back in the 70's.....
